Here to post some of the upcoming animes for this season that I’m looking out for (or at least caught my interest, enough to make me watch even 1 episode) Do keep in mind that since this will be from a female POV, expect a little bias on the female (fangirl) side I still hope you’ll read this despite that~

1) 桃華月憚 – Touka Gettan (Momotsuki) – airing on April 1 (http://www.avexmovie.jp/lineup/momotsuki/)

unconveyed feelings…
to the person who is about to fall in love…

That’s what the little intro on the site says.
I fell in love with the pic of the girl and the guy there… sigh… <3

Though, basing from what was said in the intro, it seems to be a bittersweet kind of love story…

Checked the introduction in the site, and it is said that this is a story about a love that bloomed in a land known as Kamitsumihara. The main character is a guy named Touka Kamiazuma, who is part of this powerful Kamiazuma clan, and a girl known as Momoka Kawakabe, a girl who has a big appetite (and seems to be the usual genki type of girl). Momoka is actually bethroted to the son of their school [Toukadai Gakuen] principal (as to how that happened, guess we’ll have to wait for it to start airing) and as such, is a freeloader in the Kamiazuma family (She stays in the same house as them?! not too sure :p).

So there, a love triangle! if you will perhaps exclude the other female characters which I think would be clinging to the guy… >.< (the picture of the guy’s mom was like… heh… intentionally made like that for fanservice T_T). To make matters worse, I found out that there’s also an upcoming eroge of this title *gulps*

I still can’t help but love the pic on the site… but let’s see how the anime turns out. If there’s enough plot and substance despite the fanservice (which I hope is not that much), then I’ll most likely watch it :3 And seeing as the site mentions that the anime’s storyline is different from the game (and developed more “dramatically”, they say), it makes me relieved and want to watch this show more ^^ Another thing to note about this title is that it has the same [main] staff who worked for “Yami to Boushi to Hon no Tabibito”, so we could most likely expect the same level of animation quality~ :3

2) Claymore (http://www.j-claymore.com/top.html) – airing on April 3

Introduction:

In this world where humans have long been continually devoured by beasts known as “Youma”, humankind has never gotten hold of a means to defeat these monsters. That is, until they were able to create a breed of half-human half-beast female soldiers…

Possessing the ability to know the Youma’s true form with their silver eye, they are also equipped with an enormous sword as their weapon to fight against these monsters. The battle between humans and these beasts continues as these female soldiers known as “Claymore” fight against Youmas.

Impression: Looks and sounds cool! Female characters kicks ass!
Anyways, I really think the introduction leaves a good first impression… as always, we’ll have to see how the story will go (or perhaps I could just go ahead and read the manga :p), but I’ll definitely be watching this ^^

3) OverDrive (http://www.tv-tokyo.co.jp/anime/overdrive/) – airing on April 3

Cycling sports anime. That’s all I can say… ^^;; But I have a soft spot for sports animes, so I’ll most likely give this one a try :3

4) Saint Beast (http://www.saintbeast.com/) – airing April 3

Introduction: A Saint Beast anime has already aired in 2003, lasting 6 episodes… from then on, it has spanned several drama CDs, an OAV released in 2005, and several “Saint Beast” events (most likely similar to NeoRomance events). Due to to popular demand, it has once again been made into an anime. This time, the story is about these “6 saint beasts” chosen by the great god Zeus from among his angels, namely Gou, Shin, Rei, Gai, Yuga, and Ruka… and their life in heaven.

Impression: Well, not much of a plot, I can see ^^ (or am I just blinded by the bishies :p)… but that could all change once I get to watch this… but at this moment, what entices me to watch it is no other than the bishies (and I hope it won’t remain that way… give us a decent story at least >.>)
