(I was refraining from posting till our new blog site is finalized, but I just had to get this out of my system =___=”’)

As I was spending this last day of my vacation, I decided to catch up on watching Saiunkoku, and hopefully allow me to catch up on the second season as soon as possible. Despite the fact that I will have quite a hard time understanding the conversations fully, I have decided to view this as a learning exerience / aid (both for improving my Chinese / Japanese). I’m actually thinking of blogging about the second season of Saiunkoku as well, despite the fact that there will be other people who will be blogging it too (and honestly, it somewhat makes me lose motivation, but I hope my love for Saiunkoku won’t keep me from doing so). Anyways, with regards to this, I’ve also spent my time today convincing my oniichan to go and watch Saiunkoku too. I’ve been telling him about the stories of the different characters in Saiunkoku, and just how I admire Shuurei’s personality (and also of how fond I am of Ryuuki).

Now it came to this point where I was watching the episodes filled with “Shuurei x Sakujun” (only until episode 27), and my brother was glancing / watching from time to time (as he was working on something). I’ve mentioned to him about how Ryuuki loves Shuurei, and just how Shuurei must have the same feelings for Ryuuki too (though she wasn’t able to face her feelings yet, at that point before she left to Brown province and assume the responsibility of a governor). And watching how Shuurei was seemingly helpless and weak in that situation with Sakujun, I was at lost with words when my brother asked me about how come Sakujun seems to have been able to kiss Shuurei many more times than Ryuuki, and as to how she wasn’t able to resist being kissed by Sakujun / how she became weak (especially with the scene at the manor).

At the first parts with the Shuurei x Sakujun encounters, I admired Shuurei for being able to guard her heart (and feelings well), though I sense a little wavering when Sakujun kissed her (as though she realizing that it felt nice (?), but somehow denied it and put her rational mind over her feelings – which is the proper way to do to avoid falling into the clutches of such a man). But as I watched episode 26, where Shuurei went to the Chrysanthemum Manor (seemingly ready for what was to await her there), and Sakujun was able to “bring her to bed / make her lie down on the bed” without much struggle, I actually thought the same as my brother, “How come Shuurei wasn’t able to resist him (like shove him off or something)?” Thinking of the reason, I told myself (and also my brother) that it was perhaps because of the shock she had, seeing as to how bloodthirsty (?) Sakujun was (and her tagging along with this guy, without ever doubting who he was). But then comes this kissing scene, and well, Shuurei still hasn’t shown resistance at this point (only verbal… her strength seemed to have drained away with all the shock, I said), and perhaps if Seiran and the others didn’t come to her aid that time, she would’ve really ended up being Sakujun’s (she would with all her strength resist him, but with her wavered feelings, the shock, and all that, I don’t think she’ll have enough strength to “fight” him in such a confused and shocked state)…. o____o

Sigh… I hate that thought… I hate admitting that indeed, Shuurei became weak (despite the strong personality she has) at that point. So weak that she was protesting in her mind, yet she wasn’t able to translate it into actions (and perhaps gave Sakujun some punch he deserves at that point). I hate the fact that Sakujun left such a great impression on her, so much to point that he creeps in her mind, unconsciously taking control of her thoughts and actions. Argh! T__T And I hate how Ryuuki didn’t seem to be in her thoughts enough to repel Sakujun But well, we just have to admit that fact… Sakujun was undeniably, charming… with all evilness and darkness T__T I hate him for being really agressive on Shuurei (who was still naive, since she has never met a man as persistent and aggressive as he is when it comes to forcing his feelings on her), to the point of making Shuurei somewhat drawn to him (ok this is going nowhere… I’ll end up saying the same things again =___=”’). And well, despite the fact that I know what will happen to Sakujun at the end, still… I don’t think I could let this incident (or incidents) pass :/ Just had to let it out of my system, coz it seems to be creeping inside me (*strangles Sakujun*! >.<)

This thought (or thoughts) saddened me… and made me a little depressed… Although I know that Shuurei wasn’t committed to Ryuuki, it made this Shuurei x Ryuuki fan feel as though Ryuuki was betrayed (somewhat… or I feel as though Ryuuki’s feelings for her didn’t make much impact to make her repel Sakujun) I was happy that Shuurei saw Ryuuki in Sakujun (and made her remember that night’s conversation with Ryuuki), but still! Sigh… I know that Shuurei actually told Ryuuki that she doesn’t quite reciprocate the same feelings of love as Ryuuki, demo!! >.>sigh…

Ok, enough ranting… =____=”” I’m hoping I’ll get over this soon… as I continue to watch the first season till the end, with hopes for Shuurei x Ryuuki’s romance to bloom in the next season! >.<
