indeed, her ‘lack of defense’ that time annoyed me as well… x___X but well, in the end she admitted that, and learned from her experience~

but… here goes my ‘other’ opinion (fangirl mode :p) :
nevertheless, I have to admit, that Sakujun is smexy =P It’s like he can easily captivate a woman with that evil aura of his… as though you’re being drawn to the depths of darkness or something x__X

Sakujun crumbled Shuurei’s defenses so easily. She was putty in his hands. I guess she never met anyone as aggresive as him. If Sakujun really wanted to, he could have easily taken Shuurei o__O That air of danger about him is attractive I guess. Some girls do find that sexy. Also, Shuurei did admit that she had trouble handling the pressure and Sakujun was always very “in your face” showing his animal-like desire for Shuurei.

I was annoyed that Sakujun easily kissed Shuurei. She was not putting up much of a fight and I think we could even say she enjoyed it. Lol, Sakujun was prettier than Shuurei (most of the time :p). The lipstick though made Sakujun look so gay o__O

@Grace: I think there are rumors that Sakujun will make his reappearance in the second season… it’ll make for an interesting development~ though I’m still rooting for more Shuurei x Ryuuki~ >.<

@hotaru: actually, I’ve also become a Sakujun x Shuurei fan recently (though only second to Ryuuki x Shuurei), and was touched by the development in Sakujun’s character throughout the few episodes he was in… (will be posting my thoughts on this as I finish watching the 1st season… 4 episodes to go! XD)

as for Kouyuu x Shuurei, I actually don’t have anything against this pairing, but I just can’t quite imagine them as “that kind” of a couple (just yet)… o_o

but regarding your opinion that it’s impossible for Shuurei to end up with Ryuuki, I think the last episode actually shows that there is a chance for this (where she can choose love + be able to serve the people) –> (why do I know this when I still haven’t watched the last of the episodes?! o_O lol… read some comments in other blogs ^^”). She told Ryuuki, she’s not yet ready for it… but is actually open to the possiblity… it’ll just take a looong time indeed.

But nevertheless, I’m watching out for whatever romantic developments they’re going to have in season 2, may it be Ryuuki x Shuurei or Koyuu x Shuurei (or even Sakujun x Shuurei.. who knows, he might have survived o_O)

I’m not a RyuukixShuurei fan, but a Kouyuu x Shuurei and Sakujun x Shuurei fan (the way he died touched me).
Anyway, Ryuuki and Shuurei they are impossible. Ryuuki is the king, and Shuurei is the princess of Kou family. If they both married each other, Kou family will receive great power and hence break the balance between the 7 family (?).
And besides, the queen do NOT have the right to work/care/whatever for the country, and working for the country is Shuurei’s dream, so she will never marry the King. Besides, because of something that most likely will happen in the end of Season 2, Shuurei had promised to herself that she will never marry anyone in her life.

well, i too am a Shuurei x Ryuuki fan, and i didnt quite like that episode… -_- but i have to admit, that epi where Sakujun was dying really made me sad… i dunno, it just did… -_-’ well anyway, just finished watching season one and i have to say, i was squealing and jumping up and down during the last few minutes of ep 39… *sigh* hopeless romantic… i hope their love blooms as well ^_^

OMG~! I hated that she became so weak like that, specially since I thought of her as quite a strong character too before then and I did find it so sad that even though she thought about Ryuuki, his influence on her apparently didn’t impact her as much as Sakujun did. I do wonder if Shuurei actually had feelings for Sakujun, not that it matters really now as he’s dead, but still… -_-;;

I think Ryuuki and Shuurei make a cute couple; not the most likely pairing at times, but like you, I’m hoping that their romance blooms in season 2~! I’m almost done with season 1, so I won’t be completely lost when season 2 comes out~! ^^
