Synopsis: Teresa sends Clare to a village where she will be taken care of but the village is attacked by bandits and Teresa has to break a rule in order to protect Clare.

This episode deals more about Teresa and a young Clare. After taking care of her for a while, Teresa sends her to a village where she will be taken care of. Though Clare would rather follow Teresa, Teresa deems it better for Clare to live a normal life.
Teresa defeated the Yoma in the village, which, unknown to her, is the only thing that was preventing a group of bandits from attacking the village. It was too late when Teresa realized about it. The bandits have already ransacked the village and one of them (the one who’s hand Teresa cut off in the previous episode) was attacking Clare.
The bandit’s leader made fun of the idea that Teresa, being a Claymore, is forbidden from killing humans. But Teresa said that it’s up to them if they obey the rule or not. Teresa thought it ironic that this kind of people are the ones she is protecting from Yoma, when in fact, they are no better than Yoma. In the end, Teresa killed the bandits to protect Clare.
The organization sent Claymores, the following day, to kill Teresa. Death is the punishment for breaking the rule. For a moment, I thought Teresa would surrender to her fate but she wounded the other Claymores, without killing them, and went away with Clare.
It’s interesting how Teresa embraced humanity, even if it meant going against the organization. With Clare, Teresa feels she is more alive than ever. I wonder if Clare would be put in the same situation with Raki. Clare, certainly, did learn a lot from Teresa.

Clare’s determination in this episode was amazing. Maybe even a bit too much ^_^;; On the other hand, the rotating sword is a bit ridiculous isn’t it… kinda makes you wonder if you’re watching Indiana Jones when Indy pulls out his gun after that one dude demonstrates his knife skills.
