Ginnie, go read the book. It's lovely. But maybe it'd be better if you started reading it after watching the anime, so you won't expect the anime to be like the book and enjoy it more. Or perhaps you can start reading it, but veeery, veeeery slowly ^^ so you won't catch up with the anime eps. I agree with you about the Father Cassidy chapter. It's one of the best moments of the book. Since I don't know Japanese, I'm also wondering if their conversation was similar to the one in the novel or if they changed it. i know this is a little offtopic, but what is the meaning of kawarimono (as in Kawarimono Ilse)? I want to know what adjective was used to describe her ñ.ñ (if its an adjective).
