Good Smile Company strikes again and announces the release of two Death Note Nendoroids, perfect to go with your Light and Ryuk figures. These cuties are scheduled to be on sale on September 2007 for 3000 yen (~50 SGD or ~1500 PHP). Like previous models, these stand at about 4″ tall with several interchangeable parts.

Saiunkoku Monogatari II Episode 7 – 一心岩をも透す (One’s Zeal Can Cut Through Stone)

Puzzle pieces are coming into place, and now the ‘mysterious’ disease in Koringun is no longer becoming a ‘mystery’. With the help of Kashin’s books, the treatment for this disease is finally within grasp, with some difficulties that will have to be surpassed along the way. But of course, nothing is impossible. Just like the title states, “One’s zeal (or ‘united heart’) can cut through stone”, which means just about anything is possible if one fervently believes in it (and of course, if one does what’s necessary for its realization).

From what I’ve seen in the differences between the anime and novel this time, I’d say that not much ‘plot-critical’ parts have been altered, but should’ve justified the actions of the characters in this episode (especially Ayano’s). The novel clearly showed how Ayano was maturing in this part of the story (with Ayano’s thoughts that was omitted in the anime). And I’d say I’ve come to like Ayano even more after reading the ‘original material’, and felt like giving her a hug~ On the contrary, I felt like giving Kazuma some slapping (just a bit, because I still haven’t seen the ‘justifications’ to his actions in this part of the novel) ><
