A Chef’s ‘Big Break’ (with a supplementary Kaze no Stigma ‘hot scoop’ :p)
A surprising news struck me Tuesday last week… and I actually had mixed emotions when it was brought to my attention. I felt ecstatic because it’s one of the things I’ve been longing to do for quite some time now (ever since I’ve become an anime / manga fanatic? XD), and at the same time felt troubled by how it’s going to affect my blogging life (temporarily, until the work I have there ends). Were you able to guess what ‘big break’ I’m referring to now? (If not, just read on) :p
The thing is… I’ve been sent to Japan for a business trip! (for three weeks!) Luck was on me when I suddenly got transferred to this new project requiring project members to leave for Japan, and left me in a complete state of shock which I wasn’t able to recover from after hours and days :p
Anyways… this post of mine has been long delayed and now I’m reporting this while I’m already in Japan! O__O I wasn’t able to sleep because of all the excitement… and decided to stay up late and even watch Kaze no Stigma while I’m at it 
I just finished watching Kaze no Stigma episode 13 “Let’s Go to the Amusement Park” where Soushu plays the matchmaker again as he makes Ayano and Kazuma go on a “date” disguised as “work”. When I read the novel, I was thinking that it should’ve been better if they showed the second story in the Kaze no Stigma Ignition Vol.1 novel, because I thought it would have more of the romantic antics. But I guess I was wrong, since I really enjoyed it more than I expected ^-^ They made a right choice in showing this, because it has more entertainment value and also showed Ren’s memory of Ayumi-chan (and a beginning of a new love? :p) The Kazuma x Ayano romance doesn’t get all waffy like the previous episode’s, but it does involve something like: Kazuma smiling at seeing Ayano actually enjoy doing something without being hung up with work work work, and Kazuma touching Ayano’s hand (not sure if it’s intentionally or unintentionally, but I’m leaning towards the former 
)
And…!! the episode preview is such a surprise…! O__O I thought they’re going to once again focus on the main arc now and start with volume 4. I guess I was wrong… but…!!!! I love what they’re going to show next…! It’s the ‘other’ dinner date chapter in the Ignition novel I mentioned in the suki forum!! wai! O__O I can’t believe they’re going to show that!! (Expect some real good Kazuma x Ayano moment there, if GONZO will not take away that scene I’m looking forward to :3 )
EDIT: For the benefit of those who haven’t seen what I mentioned in the animesuki forum (because it’s gonna be quite some digging ><''' ), here's what I posted about it (way back when I thought the 'dinner date' in episode 9 would be this one) :p

That’s all for my hot scoop… I just thought it’s too good to pass out on XDDDDD (take it as a reward for patiently waiting for my slow summaries? :p)
I think I’ll still be slow in making my summary of KnS… because I’m gonna catch up on other shows which I wasn’t able to do because of my busyness in buying / packing up stuff I need for my trip.

I loved this episode but I couldn’t understand what Kirika and Genma were talking about in the end (except that it had something to do with Kazuma).
i am waiting for ep.13 to be available so i can watch it but these spoilers are getting me excited about seeing ayano & kazuma moments :))
Congrats on getting to go to Japan. Would love to go myself and at least for the hell of it am going to take a Japanese course back in University….at least it’ll help with watching anime right?
It was a nice episode I thought. Nice bits with tying in Ayumi to Ren’s train of thought and the friendship he’s got with those two.Really thought Kazuma smiling while Ayano enjoyed the sunset was a nice moment. Plus how he so easily lured her into the ride was good stuff.

I loved Japan when I went there two years ago, took some great photos in Kyoto, especially of the golden pavilion and the geisha. But seeing as how you’re not exactly there for sightseeing…. well, at least you get to watch anime in real-time. Have fun =)

Regarding Kirika and Genma, I do believe Kirika likes Genma, and is attempting to spend more time with Genma by bribing him with information about Kazuma. Although my speculation could be wrong, so usagijen would probably have to confirm or not…
Aaaw I want to see ‘that’ scene but odds are it’s going to be cut out like the rest of Kazuma’s-evilness… though as I’m rewatched the episode again … does Ayano actually own a wardrobe of just school uniforms? She’s going on a ‘date’ and having a hard time picking between three identical school uniforms?
Cool. A short-term stay in Japan beats living there anytime. I stayed there for a month when I was a teenager and that was seriously the best time of my life. And I wasn’t even into anime back then.
