the series ended so fast…
whenever my sister teases me that it’s done, I can’t help but cry and my other sister will get mad at her and defend me..
yes, i agree that the guys looked extremely CUTE in this episode.
esp. Abe and Izumi. (well, they are extremely cute anyway.)
i heard that oofuri will have a another season.
which reminds me, was it here that they said Riou was Junta’s catcher? i think Riou is just a reserved catcher. sorry if i posted the wrong comment in the wrong website if i’m not right.

I am just wondering if it is true that there is an OVA. . .or a secret episode 26. . .since I don’t know how to read japanese and I don’t know anyone living in Japan so I am at a loss. .. apparently there is no raw for that secret episode either.

I love Oofuri. .thank you for your blogs, they really help me understand most the conversations and thoughts.

@nakujima Sorry for not replying quickly enough, was out of town.

Anyway, I think the rigorous training they had to prepare for the Summer Tournament along with the exhausting game he had with Tosei had a lot to do with his weight loss.

If you could recall he had a fever during that game. He fell asleep after the game probably due to extreme exhaustion. I am assuming he just slept through till the next day. That meal with the guys must’ve been his first as well.

Training + stressful game with Tosei + fever + exhaustion = weight loss

i don t really get one point. Is mihashi ill or something? since he lost three kl i mean it s not normal (in fact i haven t watch this episode yet)
perhaps the lucky guys who read the manga know more about that.

Woo, been a while since I’ve followed up with the summaries, but I went on a downloading spree and went ahead and downloaded episodes 13-25 to marathon when I’m not busy. I had been to busy for anime and now I can get back to Ookiku! Luckily looks like Seleria has finished up the series (thanx!) so I’ll be able to refer back here whenever I need to understand anything I didn’t with the RAW.

Here’s hoping for a second season, unfortunately the studio making Oofuri is working on a new project so who knows if they will even consider doing Oofuri again, but it’s not a definite no! I don’t think the fangirls will let A-1 rest without one either haha.

@kaei, sonteen12, Kaneko You are very much welcome. I enjoyed blogging this series very much Your comments and appreciation really means a lot. Thank you for sharing my enthusiasm for the show as well.

@kaei Oofuri is definitely one of the better shows this year, although there are other noteworthy titles as well, which the other Chefs are blogging.

@sonteen12 I agree that the basketball scene was well-done.

@Kaneko I haven’t been able to get my hands on the manga which covered the last few episodes, so I wasn’t able to detect the subtle change made by A-1. Thank you for pointing it out.
