Synopsis: The warriors discover Balsa’s hideout, Shuga finds Chagum by chance.

Touya is unaware that he is being followed as he goes to Balsa’s hideout. He finds out that no one’s home. Zen and Yun, having found the hideout, explore the surrounding area to find out what the residents of the mill look like.
In Lower Ougi, as Shuga is walking around, he is surprised to see Chagum buying something on his own. He reveals himself when Chagum passes by. Since there are many people around, he takes Chagum to a narrow alley.
Shuga tells Chagum that he is glad to find him alive. He apologizes for causing Chagum to suffer. He then tells him that he will escort Chagum to the court immediately. He also tells him that he has determined about the spirit that possesses the Prince. He says that he has informed the Emperor about it so no one will harm Chagum anymore.
Balsa comes. She says that first they send assassins after him and now because circumstances have changed, they want him back. She says that it is very self-serving of them. Chagum says that Balsa is wrong. Shuga tells Balsa that he appreciates her protecting the Prince but her services are no longer required. He explains that Balsa will be acquitted of her crimes and will be given a suitable reward. Balsa tells him she is not protecting Chagum for money. She tells him that she is protecting Chagum because his mother asked her to protect him for the rest of her life. Only the Second Empress can tell her otherwise. Shuga then says that he will speak to the Second Empress.
Shuga continues to request that Chagum be handed over. Balsa says she can’t do so, not even if the Second Empress were to come. She explains that there are reasons why she can’t let Chagum go back to court. Shuga asks her what she knows. But she doesn’t reply. She asks Chagum to come.
Shuga then tells Chagum that the Crown Prince, Sagum, has passed away. His duties as a Crown Prince were too heavy a burden for him. Chagum could not believe it but Shuga says it’s not a lie. Shuga tells Balsa that if Chagum does not return, the court will be in turmoil. He tells Balsa to be gone but she refuses. Shuga then says that if she insists on taking Chagum with him, she will have to kill him or else, he will send an army after her, now that he knows where she is hiding. Balsa hits Shuga with the wooden end of her spear. She takes Chagum and tells him that he will explain things later.
At the watermill, Touya decides to go inside. Zen and Yun return. They think that Touya has left. According to their investigation, it seems that a woman and a child live at the watermill.
Inside, Touya finds a map and realizes that Balsa is planning to go to Toumi village. He then finds out that he was being followed by the customer who requested lumber and another man. Touya realizes that they are after Balsa and Chagum. He hides himself as Zen and Yun look through the windows. Zen says that he will stay while Yun inform their leader.
Balsa and Chagum are on their way back to the watermill. Tanda is waiting for them. Balsa explains what happened. She tells Tanda that they will have to leave for Toumi village immediately. Tanda notices that Chagum looks glum. Balsa tells him that Chagum’s brother just passed away. Balsa says that for the moment, they have more important things to do. Chagum asks what this could be. Balsa reminds him that she will explain later. She tells Chagum to go ahead with Tanda. Balsa says she will return to the watermill to get the map to Toumi village. Though they will be fine without it, she has some things to confirm.
Back to the warriors’ hideout, Yun returns and reports their findings to their leader. The leader decides that they will go and confirm. He instructs Jin to explain to Shuga what’s going on and have him wait at their hideout. Jin says that perhaps they can delay telling him until they have confirmed but the leader tells Jin that he has become rash when it comes to matters regarding the Prince. He tells Jin to calm down before following.
Touya, meanwhile, thinks that just hiding won’t do anything. He will have to find a way to let Balsa know. He thinks that maybe he can try to get out of the watermill but he finds out that more have come to wait outside.
Shuga, in Lower Ougi, finds Jin. Jin asks him what happened since Shuga seems as if he is in pain. Shuga tells him that he found the Prince by accident. He tells him that the female bodyguard took him away. Jin explains that the others are heading to a watermill which seems to be the spear-wielder’s hideout. If she returns with the Prince, everything will be resolved. Jin tells Shuga to wait while he try to look for Balsa and Chagum. Shuga tells him that they headed east. Jin rushes off.
Touya decides to burn the watermill. Outside, the warriors have gathered to wait for Balsa to return. They notice smoke coming from the watermill. Touya thinks that when Balsa sees the fire, she will know what it means. The warriors are surprised that the watermill caught fire. They investigate. Touya comes out. The warriors ask Touya if he caused the fire. Zen also asks where the residents of the mill went. Touya replies that he doesn’t know and even if he did, he will not tell. The leader realizes that Touya did burned the watermill to warn the spear-wielder.
Balsa sees smoke from a distance and realizes the watermill is burning. She approaches and finds out warriors have gathered there. The neighbors also arrive to put out the fire. Since many people have gathered, the warriors can’t do anything. One of them asks if they should take Touya with them and interrogate him but Zen says that the spear-wielder is cautious, the boy might not know anything. The warriors leave but Zen stays behind to tell Touya that he is impressed how Touya thought of setting the place on fire. He tells Touya that he has courage but he should take care of his own life.
Touya, now left behind, cries. Balsa observes him and says she will never forget what Touya has done. Balsa then leaves. The watermill seems to be beyond help despite the efforts of the neighbors to put out the fire.
