LOL. Couldn’t help but laugh at this scene where evil Kana was chasing poor little Chiaki for a hawt sister-to-sister kiss! I’ve seen this play out in real life. It is a lot of fun, for me at least because I DO the chasing! HAHAHAHAHA!

The OP is very spunky, fun, and cute! It fits the series to a tee. The OP sequence lets us see the interactions of the characters, starting from Kana and Chiaki’s love-hate relationship. I already laughed when Chiaki threw her teddy right smack across Kana’s face. You gotta love the tsundere iMOEuto! Random chibi characters pop out and join in on the song, very sugary cute. Ouch… toothache

Trivia: The 3 main seiyuus performed in the OP/ED! Chiaki’s seiyuu is Minori Chihara, who voiced Yuki Nagato!!!

ED: Colorful Days 「カラフルDAYS」 by Uran

It is more toned down than the OP, but still very poppy. It features some light-hearted moments between the sisters.

The Three Minami Sisters

The series is about Haruka, Kana, and Chiaki, three sisters living together. Haruka is in high school; Kana is in middle school; and Chiaki in elementary. No sign of the parentals so far.

While we were making our fall preview, I already set my sights on this anime. I am a slice-of-life junkie, all the more if there is comedy. Minami-ke fits the bill perfectly. Did it meet my expectation? Hell yeah, it passed with flying colors.

The Chase: It happens in real life

When Kana was chasing Chiaki, it was just made of pure win. I am living apart from my siblings, but I live with my cousin’s cousins. Yeah, we’re not related. So, my cousin’s cousins are composed of three sisters. I am especially attached to the second and the youngest, Jan-Jan and Doi-Doi.

Jan-Jan and I both harass the youngest sister, Doi-Doi, real name is Joy LOL. We think she is moe and we chase her around the house to steal a kiss from her. Of course, she runs away from us like we were the plague or something. A scene like that is normal for us. So, you can only imagine my delight when I saw it being animated in Minami-ke! Stuff like those REALLY HAPPEN in real life.

Sister-to-Sister Kiss aka The Fish Lips

I love evil Kana, terrorizing Chiaki, who is usually a smartass, but falls prey to the hawt sisterly desires of Kana. Too bad Haruka came in and interrupted the little sister fest. However, Chiaki really wanted some sister action with Haruka and not Kana. Well, Kana was a good sport and handed over Chiaki, the now willing victim, to Haruka.

So, this is yuri + incest = yurincest!

Tenma and Harima – The Reincarnation?

Kana gets a love letter from Fujioka. She instantly brings this love letter to her sisters. Chiaki offers her invaluable analysis and declares that the letter is not a love letter, but a challenge.

I already get a feeling that this will be like Tenma and Harima’s relationship (School Rumble), or the lack thereof. Love confessions gone awry FTW!

The verdict

A lot of anime bloggers have already given their thumbs up on this series. Well, here’s another one!

I still have a lot of things I want to say, but I guess I will leave those for my Deep Frying post!
