I actually saw a few episodes of this. My friend and I always thought it was random but cool in it’s own style ^__^ I was confused in parts but it was still ufn to watch. Plus it was funny too

Yeah, I wonder how I would find FLCL if I saw it when it first came out.

I do admit FLCL isn’t bad. The direction is interesting, as expected from Gainax. I also like the Mamimi angle (my favorite episode would be the second). I like Eri too. I also find Naota interesting. And oh, I like Canti. I guess I just don’t like Haruko. Lol.

I think FLCL is one of my favorites, and I can understand it’s popularization in US by Adult Swim, but the real deal about FLCL is it’s dynamics.

The OVA braids a nice array of characters, situations, emotions, and themes in such a short period of time that there is usually something for the viewer to enjoy. I thought the premise was cool, fun, and much lighter than Gainax’s NGE.

Sitting down with this year’s Gurren Lagann, some of the inspiration that went into FLCL shines in TTGL. Though, I’m not sure how FLCL would be experienced today if it were to air. That’s just a question of how timeless is it? Viewer tastes may be very different from 7 years ago, and it’s probably impossible to tell because nobody was animeblogging in 2000.

So yea, maybe FLCL isn’t for you now, but what about the you from 7 years ago? lol, redundant question.

NUUUUUUUUUUU this show is awesome! Come onnnn~ This is one of my favorite anime evar. And yes, it is very popular here in the states. :3
