Hop Step Jump! for JLPT 2007

Flame On!

yosh! I hope I’m not the only one who feels this way towards the coming JLPT…! rawr! The exam is only a few days away (this coming December 2, 2007), and three of the chefs are taking part in this “big event” =P absolute0 and yours truly are taking JLPT2, while hamster chef Seleria is taking JLPT3.

God Bless to us, and to all who are taking this year’s JLPT!! *plays Shugo Chara’s Honto no Jibun as BGM* =3

I think I still feel a little feverish… Hope and pray that I won’t end up like Mao (KimiKiss) x__x

yush! time for more cram review >3

Ja ne~!

Love and Cheers from the bunny chef~ :3

  7. Good luck with that!!!

    I’m looking to start with the JLPT next year, though i may end up having to go to europe to do the exam since the only place in the that offers it are considering stopping :(

    Out of curiosity has anyone here bought and used Kana De Manga and Kanji De Manga series of books? Kana is a 2 book series and Kanji a 5 book series, i just ordered both set and wondered what people thought.

    I’ve been a bit half hearted in my past attempts at studying Japanese, but i got my recent exam results back and got a huge 15% right, and that was by accident.

    This time round im going in seriously, aswell as signing up for a proper class, ive also ordered 12 kingdoms light novel and some manga from japan. So i can learn, and read what i love at the same time :) Ordering from Japan though is darned expensive.

    Won’t be doing that again for a while :(

  9. JLPT = Japanese Language Proficency Test

    “a standardized test to evaluate and certify the language proficiency of non-native Japanese speakers. It is held once every year, on the first Sunday of December.

    The JLPT has four levels beginning at level 4 and progressing to level 1 - the most difficult. The Japan Foundation estimates that level 4 is reached after approximately 150 hours of study and level 1 after approximately 900 hours of study.”

  10. @Owen: thanks! it is hardcore… @_@ but having anime/manga/japanese game-related hobbies help a lot in easing my Nihongo studying woes :3

    @Hectic3: ganbatte!! 3 months could just be enough, depending on how much time you’ve been spending on it

    @bluemist: what a brave soul you are… @_@

    @Totali: arigatou~ *glomps* :p

    @Zeroblade: wow… great timing @.@ ganbareee!!! >3

    @Tiamat: I started being really serious in studying Japanese in my last year in college, and the main reference I used was Genki, which is really useful for beginners studying Japanese on their own :3

    I have no comments regarding Kana and Kanji de Manga because I haven’t seen any of these books yet. I memorized kanas on my own, way back elementary ^^;;; as for kanjis, I learn them through “direct” means: playing games, reading mangas, songs, etc.

    God Bless in your studies…! have fun! it helps if you read the original text, then compare it with the available translations online :3

  13. now that’s december 2, just wanted to know how’s the exam guys?^_^

  14. In my case, it was ok, because I had time to study… absolute0 and Seleria however became loaded with a truckload of work which drastically lessened the amount of time they could’ve spent for studying (think 100+ hours of OT =__=) sigh.

    anyways, I’ll make a post about my little experience by tomorrow… together with my post for Shugo Chara episode 9 :3

  16. Anyway, how was the test? I chickened at the thought of taking the JLPT this year lol.

    And if you pass, where (or what) will the celebration be? Hehehe

  17. …eheh.

    Mao.

  18. @Michael: lol. I sure hope so XD

    @hayase: the exam was difficult, especially the listening part which I most likely flunked. The kanji / vocabulary as well as the reading/grammar section were also difficult, but I found it ok because I’ve been exposing myself to reading mangas and novels early on. The Kanzen Reviewer helped a lot in the grammar section… *whew*

    @Alyssa: Thank God I didn’t end up with the same fate as Mao on the day of my exam… :3
