This will now be a sort-of combination of my thoughts regarding episodes 10-11. I’m gonna make this short and sweet, so I can move on to the rest of my backlogs~

Unlike the previous episodes, the pacing of the show is speeding up quite a bit. We see a coming storm in the relationship of Yuumi and Kouichi, which might or might not end the romance between the two. More episodes are necessary to see what direction they’re taking for this couple. I was quite surprised that they’d be presenting this plot device this early, since it’s supposedly the last hurdle in their relationship (based on the novel, and perhaps the game as well), which will then lead to a dramatic and dreamy ending~

Sealed with a kiss.

At this point, it’s pretty clear that Mao holds feelings for Kouichi. That fact has been sealed with a kiss in episode 10. Nevertheless, she remains confused about dealing with her feelings. She can’t go all out in pursuing Kouichi in a romantic way, knowing well that he has Yuumi, whom she approves of as well. Unlike what I thought, Kouichi doesn’t really harbor romantic feelings for Mao (or at least not yet). His gesture of kindness and concern towards Mao is but natural, a manifestation of his care for the sister he loves.

Signs of confusion… “miss tone” indeed

I may have complained about Mao’s indecisiveness in the past, but now that I’ve been able to spend some time deep in thoughts regarding her actions, it’s but right to say that the way it was portrayed was realistic. Mike’s insights regarding Mao also allowed me to understand this side of her better.

As for Kazuki x Eriko, I found it a bit too fast-paced. I would not have any qualms about what was shown in episode 11 regarding Eriko’s sudden outburst of feelings, if they showed these emotions gradually as each episode went on. It seemed only yesterday when Kazuki seemed nothing but a guinea pig to Eriko, whose words didn’t really impact her, compared to Asuka who was getting through her more than him. Little did we know that something in the heart of the genius is changing~ I’m happy to see that the ice princess has now thawed, but I would’ve preferred it if they made us see the thawing process more clearly. They could’ve postponed the kissing scene… =[

Well, given this rapid development in episode 11, it looks like Asuka is indeed going to get the friends-only ending… *sigh* Perhaps she will just spice up the Kazuki x Eriko relationship as she gets to realize her own feelings for the guy.

Hiiragi’s eroge imagination of Mitsuki

As for Mitsuki, I’m not so sure if they’re intending to pair her up with Hiiragi, who supposedly has a girlfriend (mentioned at the start of the episode). We’ll see~

Before I end this, I’d like to share this nifty little “pun” they showed in episode 10…
