Kazuki and Asuka is so much better than Kazuki and Eriko
.
Eriko is weird, cold, unattractive and in a creepy sorta way
.
Reasons that Asuka falls for Kazuki is by seeing him for who he is and falling for him b/c he's himself or what he could be [very positive and healthy] *She didn't fall for him until she saw the real Kazuki and that's honest emotion vs. the way Eriko was with Kazuki, for experiment??? come on!!! what the hay???
.
Kazuki is too good looking and good for Eriko, then on the other hand, Asuka is equal to or better to that of Kazuki in character. Crap!!! it's so disappointing how guys often ends up with chicks that doesn't match up, guys with no ballz at all. WEAK!!!

@FlareKnight: know what, I really am like Eriko! but for some reason I still prefer the genki Asuka for Kazuki... probably because she's the epitome of what I long to be, all genki and optimistic XD

and yes, Mao's feelings just flooded out~!

about the new ED, I actually found it fit for the melancholic mood of the anime right now. I also think it doesn't have the same cliffhanger feel as the old one, but it pierces through my heart much more than the previous ED... it makes me cryy ;___;

@Owen: Bizarre Love Triangle is among the songs I had in this little lyrics book I got as a freebie way back my elementary days (together with 'Stay', and such songs :p). For some reason those songs really had such impact in me that they are forever etched in my heart and soul XD

thanks for the songs again!! ^-^

Great choice of songs, Jen. I was surprised to see you use Bizarre Love Triangle (partially because it's an old song to my knowledge), but I've got a relatively less retro-sounding acoustic cover by this group called Frente if you're interested. Let me know if you see me on IRC or GTalk! (:

I'm glad that Asuka did step up to clear things up. Was pretty certain she'd feel guilty and move to resolve things. Just sad to see that it was hard on her even if it was the right thing to do.

While I haven't had anything similar to Eriko's past I can sympathize with her. A combination of not having much of a childhood, probably being put to study a lot. Then having a household where your parents fall out of love. Certainly would leave a bad impression on someone. Certainly why she's afraid to let things continue. No doubt seeing Asuka and Kazuki having fun made her think of him losing interest in her eventually even if that wasn't right then.

Was something to see Mao just blow out the confession at Kouichi. Guess she really couldn't be expected to internalize it anymore.

Any opinion usagijen concerning the ED. Since we are on a musical topic. Personally still prefer the old ED for the good cliffhanger feel it has that seems to go nicely with the series. Just haven't gotten use to the new one. Though maybe because I start up the music for the old one at the end of the episodes :).

@kazumaXX: I think Mao cried because she couldn't contain her feelings any longer. She's been repressing them for so long, concealing them with lies, and now... she could no longer lie to other people, nor to herself.

@Choo: the spoilers are in the other post :P it's _too_ spoilerish though XD

glad you liked our site~ ^-^

thank god Mao finally confesses and thank god Kouichi
finally knows her feelings, i think he will decide for Mao because Yuumi just felt very sad, because she saw that scene between those two in ep 19 where they almost kiss... but why did Mao cried?

@Mentar: I agree that Asuka totally made up for what she did last time, but I guess I'm just saddened by how her "patriotism" is sealing the Eriko x Kazuki pairing... bittersweet >: what makes me even more sad is that Asuka still won't be able to confess, till past episode 22, that's like 3 or 4 episodes till the end!!! DX

Frankly, after episode 18 Asuka gains full absolution from my end for her outburst. And I find it interesting that you seem a bit less satisfied with it than I am. Probably that's because you had much higher expectations for her to begin with, while mine were lower.

Setting up this reunion meeting required guts, and it also indicates her scrupulous nature. Both is sitting well with me. When everything is said and done, it will most likely come down to the fact that Kazuki simply is more interested in Eriko. Asuka did fine ;) ... and I'm curious how things will develop once the race heats up.
