A friend I know dropped Persona recently and I was left wondering why I still hang on to it despite it not being much in the way of "action" -- what you said about the slice-of-life element is very true. The so-so production values (gorgeous music aside, since <a href="http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=132" rel="nofollow">Taku Iwasaki</a> is awesome) have stood in the way of this though, and it's too bad not a lot of people I know are watching it right now. You really should check Darker than Black out some time if you like Persona since Mike of Anime Diet said it was like "a poor man's DtB", which seems quite true to me for the most part.
