Look! It’s me bunneh!
First of all, I’m proud to say that I had a guest appearance in this episode. I am ze almighty rabbit who caused Jun and Hiromi to stumble and fall! mwahahaha. Ok, I kid. It was only a little prank, supposedly to heat up things between Jun x Hiromi, but my plan backfired as Shin ended up showing his true feelings with a hug of concern. Drats! TT__TT
*ahem* Hope you find that amusing, coz the next part of this post is gonna be emo~

a trickle of true tear…
Long before this episode, some bloggers have already fathomed the coming of doomsday in True Tears, how Shin x Noe’s relationship is bound to doom after it took off from a rough and crooked road of [thought-to-be] unrequited love, misunderstandings, and deceit. Part of me thought of this possibility, but my love for moe Noe kept me from acknowledging this. I sealed off those evil thoughts, and became optimistic that Shin x Noe can work out, especially after seeing the beautiful progress of their relationship in episode 8. Like Crusader, I also thought how wonderful this show would be, if it breaks away from the conventional my first love is my true love element we’ve seen too often. If Shin will end up with Noe, Hiromi with Jun, Ai with Miyokichi, then all’s well that ends well.
After watching episode 8 last week, I was at my Shin x Noe shipping full throttle, seeing how True Tears-rific of an episode that was. Looking at the spoilers for episodes 9-11 even dispelled my doubts about a happy Shin x Noe ending… or so I thought. I soon realized how I have fallen trap to a silly misunderstanding and over-optimism like Noe, when hashihime told of the sad truth mentioned in these spoilers in the animesuki forum. My comprehension fails =__=”’

Is it really over for Noe, or does she still stand a chance with the remaining 4 episodes?
Then here comes episode 9, bringing with it an even more forceful slap of reality and some sort of mock (at least for a Noe x Shin shipper), as I envisioned it hysterically laughing at my Shin x Noe wishful thinking. Reality bites. And it stingssss. First it was Asuka (KimiKiss), now Noe. How come all the girls I’m supporting in the triangles of these shows end up having the short end of the stick?! Whyyy
I hate to admit it, but Stripey-nii hit the nail on the head for this one. Now the wall of lies and misunderstanding built by the characters are crumbling down. Shin’s true feelings are starting to show its fangs, and Noe acknowledges the sad truth that Shin’s flight is bound to be headed for Hiromi. Shin’s mom and dad also clear up the Hiromi-Shin sibling-ness misunderstanding, so now the incest taboo element of the show has been scratched off.
The only thing that will probably keep Hiromi from confessing her true feelings to Shin now would be Jun-nii, who longs for nothing else but the happiness of his sister. And I wonder if the episode preview is indicative of this…
The thawing of Nakagami-kaasan was a little, too fast, however. Now I’m perplexed as to why she even told that lie to Hiromi in the first place ?___?
The great Omni believes that Noe is the destined girl in the series, and although that seems bleak to me at this point, I’ll be more than happy (to wipe away my sad tears) when that happens.

Your sad streak is making me feel really guilty, since in the past it’s been MY fate to root for the losing underdog. And now, in TT and Kimikiss, these streaks seem to be broken.
I predicted to Omni after episode 8 that Shinichiro would end up with Hiromi after all… and that the show will come full circle with this key scene: Shinichiro will give back Noe’s tears… when he says farewell. I believe that this is what the show is all about in the end: Noe finding this precious person her baasama was talking about. The one who will return her true tears.
There are still a few hurdles to cross. Generally, this episode came 1-2 eps too early - I’d have expected it in 10-11. But it seems that they will go for some more drama and heartwringing before the Shinichiro/Hiromi linkup will be finalized.
I hope that they will come up with some ways to sweeten the deal a bit. For example, I’d like our “Best Friend” to succeed in his quest for Aiko. He was neither stupid nor blind, and his efforts for her were obviously fairly genuine. Give him a break!
So, please don’t be dishearted and continue to deep-fry anime for us
You had to know there was no way this series would close out the last few episodes with a happy couple with a name like True Tears! Don’t be sad for Noe; at least she didn’t lose to a scrub like Ai. Hiromi had a truly masterful plan, and in one fell swoop wrecked everything that Noe and Jun had built.
In my mind, I see Hiromi cackling and saying, “I got your true tears right here, Noe.”
Me too… I hope by some miracle Noe pulls a victory…. but man this episode sucks if your a Noe fan….
Don’t give up! Noe may yet make a comeback!!!!
Or at least I continue to hope. I can’t support Hiromi no matter what. Not after all her lies and deceptions.
Noe really scored with me this ep. Points for her intuition and her loving response after THE realisation.
And that’s a nice cameo! I didn’t get screentime when I devoured Raigomaru
Noe mistook brotherly concern for something more. Shin didn’t even know at the time that he and Hiromi aren’t siblings. I think it’s just going to be a small Hiromi diversion for an episode or two. Noe already knows Shin is her man and in the end, he will realize he cares more for her too, so they will prevail.
NOEEEEEE she’s the only one for Shinichiro D:
I wanted to cry in this episode, but I couldn’t. I must have faith in Shinichiro to do the right thing.
@Mentar: aww… I still hope that Noe’s true tears in the end will be that of happiness. And, Miyokichi’s efforts and GARness will not go unrewarded, that’s for sure.
@Kabitzin: Noooooo D: Ok, you succeeded in making me hate Hiromi more now, Kabitzin
but pfftt… Noe still has a chance!
@voodoomage & Dirian: rawr! yesh, hurry for more Noe supporters! :p
@Stripey: aw… you’re softening up for Noe! join the Noe sideee!
Now I really can’t wait to watch the rest of the episodes for this ~__~
and what can I say, they love bunnies! :p
@Jauken7: Let’s all hope Noe will indeed prevail in the end! \o/ Noe fans UNITE!
@IcyStorm: I cried a little with this episode, but yeah, I still have hope in Shin D:
That was so unexpected. Noe got and lost Shin’ichiro in just one episode.
Heck, I didn’t even expect Hiromi to rise from the dark and suddenly go into the lead after being last all these while (IMHO LMAO).
And on another note… Nice Boat = DO NOT WANT. Lawl.
@The Flame Wizard: hehe, rest assured that NICE BOAT won’t happen here, considering how well executed dramas don’t really need such a twisted plot device to stand out.
Noe still has a chance! So until we see the more conclusive last few eps, I won’t say Noe has lost just yet.
NNNNOOOOEEEE!!!! Noe’s gonna win, dammit! LOL.
I just hope they don’t do the same old lame tired cliche childhood friends become lovers crap yet again. I am so sick of that plot I swear I’ll buy the DVD’s and set them ablaze if they do. Yeah, I’ll go NICE BOAT.
@Jauken: there are a number of Hiromi fans who still want the cliched childhood friends, so I don’t really know… if they’re going to pull a Noe or Hiromi end. Of course I’m still rooting for Noe \o/
and… that NICE BOAT act would be a patriotic deed of helping out the anime industry, and showing you hate the show at the same time! woo! xDD oh the monies~
Noe … Poor Noe
Default Re: Yuasa Hiromi or Isurugi Noe?
I WILL GO WITH THEM BOTH BUT, NOE:55%, HIROMI:45%
I CAN UNDERSTAND THEM BOTH, BUT AT THE 1ST FEW EPISODES, HIROMI DID A WRONG THING BY NOT ADMITTING THAT SHE LIKES THE GUY, THAT SHE DOES NOT WANT THE BOY, THEN IN THE ANOTHER EPISODE, HIROMI BECAME SELFISH.
FOR THOSE PEOPLE WHO R SAYING THAT NOE IS CRAZY, ONLY CRITICAL THINKER KIND OF PERSON CAN UNDERSTAND HER, AND I REALLY UNDERSTAND HER AS FOR HIROMI, BUT
COMPARED TO THE STRENGHT OF HEART, NOE IS THE BEST, SHE NEVER CRY AFTER HER GRANDMA DIED.
BUT STILL , DON’T FORGET AIKO, SHE ALSO LOVE THE GUY, I REALLY UNDERSTAND AIKO, BECAUSE SHE IS UNIQUE, CARING, AND CUTE.
HIROMI IS A SNATCHER, BECAUSE AFTER NOE AND Shinichirō BECAME BOY FRND AND GIRL FRND, HERE COMES HIROMI, TRYING TO RUIN IT.
IMAGINE AT THE END, I WAS BVERY SAD FOR NOE BECAUSE Shinichirō REALLY DON’T BELIEVED HIM AT 1ST. Shinichirō IS JUST PRETENDING AND THATS BAD. AT THE END, NOE DID NOT ACOMPLISHED HER MISSION, SHE JUST WANTED TO LOVE AND RETRIEVE HER TEARS AGAIN, BUT THE GUY FAILED HER. :((( POOR NOE. I WILL REALLY SUPPORT HER.
THE REASON I DID GO WITH THE 3 OF THEM ITS BECAUSE Shinichirō IS THE ROOT OF ALL THE PROBLEM. HE IS UNFAIR, Shinichirō SUCKS,…BOOOOOO Shinichirō, HE MUST EXPERIENCE ALL THE PAINS THAT HIS GIRLS EXPERIENCED, SHE DIDN’T EVEN CARE ABOUT HIS MOTHER.
WHAT KIND OF SON IS THAT??
