So I ordered a bunch or random stuff from Play-asia last February coz I found their Year-of-the-Rat Sale too hard to resist orz. That, in turn, allowed me to participate in their Year-of-the-Rat raffle draw, though I already forgot I was even part of that. Until, I got this news from Play-asia, that I won a $30 coupon! w00t!
I’ve thought long and hard about this, before finally deciding on buying myself TalkmanTM for PSP. It’s a neat little voice-activated translation software, somewhat like an interactive traveler’s phrasebook, which you can use both as reference and practice tool for various languages, primarily Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean. Another Talkman version, the Talkman Euro, has also been released, supporting English, Italian, Spanish, German, French, and Japanese (or Chinese, in the Chinese Talkman Euro version). I ordered the former version, bundled with the USB microphone for the PSP :3
Unlike my previous purchases, this is something I’d consider a really worthy investment. And, as seen in that video above, you’ll never know when this might come in handy
The Talkman Disclaimer which shows on start-up is really interesting, btw:
Please use talkman at your own risk. In no event shall Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. be held liable to the user and/or any other person for any situations or damages arising out of or related to the use of this software. In the event of emergency, please look for someone who speaks English that can help you, rather than relving on TALKMAN

I think I read about this software ages ago, but wasn’t particularly interested in it and so promptly forgot about it. But the commercial you linked to was hilarious!
May consider getting this if I happen to have enough cash in the future.
@modorenai: hehe yeah, I’d consider it a pretty good investment :3
