So it seems that some of the great anime blogging sempais are making their comeback, thanks to the almighty OS who woke them from their slumber. While those who have long been in the blogging scene and witnessed their legacy are going “Natsukashii~“, we n00bs could simply bow down in awe of them m(_ _)m. And the great(est) thing about this is that, 3 of these sempais are girls (Newt, and *ahem* Ate Ten and Ate Reika? :P). Hurray for more females in the blogosphere! ;___;
Also, with the recent rise of itsubun into this sausage-fest blogosphere comes this plan of female blog-o-domination! Ok, it’s not really as diabolical as it sounds. We’re basically planning to have an all-girls round-robin, where we vote or choose for a particular topic or issue we want to discuss, everyone in the gang (or the interested members, at least) writes a post on it, linkwhore each other, and the result is this EPIC girl-power-filled discussion. We have several potential topics in mind atm, but I’m not disclosing them here or it’ll ruin the surprise factor
And now for a word from itsubun (QFT!): (silly me for thinking Sasa wrote up the invitation email =.=; )
Please note that the issues we may choose to discuss do NOT have to be gender-related or gender-focused. Meaning that the topics up for discussion can be about pretty much anything as long as it is democratically decided upon by the other participants of the round-robin. I understand that for some of you, you do not believe that gender should be the focal or highlighting trait of your writing. And I agree. Because as bloggers, anime-lovers, and human beings, we are ultimately so much more than just our sex. I believe that as long as you girls write in your own voices and write honestly about how you really feel about whatever these topics may be, I know that you will have much to say and contribute to this round-robin. The point of this project is to meet other girls in the blogosphere, and be in touch with one another in order to cultivate community and support for one another’s ideas and writing.
Think of this as the all-female counterpart of the ABC or the ones who plan to take over the ABC ohoho~, where we girls can interact with each other, share ideas, all in the hopes of encouraging more females to speak out, without having to worry about being intimidated by the horde of guys in the blogosphere and being demoralized because of their gender, or well, just to meet new friends and know that “THERE ARE NO GIRLS” on the internet, as itsubun puts it
Members so far include: itsubun, Sasa, me, CJ, Ashley, Hinano, j1m0ne and Marmot. Update: Ashley is IN! :3
Anyways, we’d be delighted to have more girls on board this round-robin crew (*hint hint*)! Interested parties (girls only plz) can contact us through email, or by leaving a comment on this post :3 and be sure to comment on itsubun’s post, she is after all the mastermind of this
Last but not the least, I’m proud to say that Shugo Chara won in the Best Children’s Manga category of this year’s Kodansha Manga Awards! ^___^ This calls for a celebration! w00t!

I look forward to the first round robin about how awesome large robots, large explosions, and large busts are (j/k) =D.
Seriously, look forward to what you ladies come up with!
Ate? HEEE.
It’s kinda nice that people are linking to the group blog all over the place. If anything, Ten was the one who convinced me to join the group blog since she was the one who told me about it
But wow, the round-robin idea sounds fab. Mind if I join in too?
The spirit of community is indeed burning. Kudos, girls!
I dread the day you girls start talking about Blue Drop.
@Anna: We’d love for you to join us. If you want I can send you the invitation via email. Just drop off your contact info or get in touch with jen.
It’s groups like these that breed people who wont let me answer shoujo questions at conventions because “shoujo is only for girls”… SHAME ON YOU. Ha. Sasa told me about this. She’ll keep me updated.
BTW is there a name for this diabolical organization?
Hm yea I guess we don’t have a name LOL. How about the FBC (female blogger collective lulz) j/k
I’m glad Ashley’s on board, I can’t wait to read more of her posts (maybe this will force her to actually post more than once a month!)
u go grrls.
Also, LOLOL saturnine. Way to crack the yuri jokes already.
@itsubun: my e-mail’s reika at tokyojupiter dot com, so if you or jen send me an invite there, i’ll get it.
thanks!!
Might I suggest that you ladies of renown style yourselves as Boudica’s Bloggers?
Well have fun, and let’s see what antics you can come up with, though pull off another Sat-chin class doroma and well,,,
Sounds interesting! Good luck!
I’d probably be more interested if it didn’t involve disclosing my gender. xP
Let Sat-chan join!
Uh, I’m curious as to who signed me aboard for this as I’ve been out of town since Monday night…
Actually Sat-chan can lead this one too!
Heh, have fun now ^^ I will be quietly anticipating this.
This sounds like a great idea! I put in my comment on the main entry ^_^
TsK, Nagato, no need to be shy =P
thanks for the responses! oh and to the interested girls, be sure to comment on itsubun’s post :3
@Kabitzin: large busts are overrated
anyways, we’re still finalizing the name for the group… we might go for Crusader’s suggestion, we’ll just see how it goes.
@Anna: haha, but you are Anna-nee~ and of course you’re more than welcome to join us!
@Mike: yes, rawr!
@Owen: hey, there’s nothing wrong with that T__T if hashihime can talk about it, why can’t we? o.O
@Os: hey now, we’re not like that! We’re the open minded gurls group, who doesn’t look down on shoujo-loving fanboys!
@Hinano: I really hope Ashley can join us! and FBC lulz
we’d have to sound more diabolical and not an ABC copycat >3
@Hige: hehe, thanks! oh and geez Sat-chin and his yuri fantasies
@Crusader: and we’re taking that suggestion into consideration :3 hmm dorama… it won’t be as exciting as it was the first time around, so it’s better to think of another gig than that :p
@Nagato: haha, I’m awaiting the day you reveal who you really are, Nagato :p
@Ashley: ack sorry for the mix-up x__x; we do hope you can join us!
@DS: ugh No… no Sat-chin allowed in this place. We don’t want our pure sisterhood to be tainted. =[
@issa-sa: Nagato doesn’t want to ruin the mystery
oh, and I do hope you hop on board this little project of ours, issa! :3
Tsk tsk, Jen, you misunderstand me. We’re talking about a manga that has lesbian aliens forcibly reassigning the gender of a guy in order to make him sleep with his best friend so that he can impregnate him for some twisted reason involving extraterrestrial progeny.
If that doesn’t set off alarm bells in my head, I don’t know what will. When you girls start talking about Blue Drop, obviously The Great E-Masculation will have already begun, and we’ll have to run for cover, hand over our you-know-what. Everyone knows that the series is hardline feminist propaganda!
Ooh, thanks for the warm welcome! Also, ate? Hehe. It’s been a while since I’ve been called that.
Anyway, round-robin with the ladies. Can I join in too?
Interesting concept. Would be looking forward to reading (all of) your posts.
And I didn’t know that itsubun is female either!
To be honest I’m tempted, but I not much of a regular blogger, and I don’t know if I can commit. But I’ll definitely be a reader.
@Owen: ugh… that’s just sick… thanks for the warning. and well, I was thinking you were talking Blue Drop the anime alone, never thought the manga would be that disturbing x__x;;;
@Ten: haha, Ten-nee~
and yes, you’re more than welcome! *sends email*
@briar: aww, it’ll be great if you can join us briar! no commitment is necessary anyways~ :3
I like FBC, because then I can go: “YOU DOWN WITH FBC? YEAH YOU KNOW ME!”
Yes! My nee-chans, imoutos and fangurls finally come together as Blogging Musume! Please revive my shoujo fanboi spirit!
Can I join?
I’m laik, hellsa girly an’ shit.
I knew there was a reason I woke up this morning [in another city] and began [hand]writing 99 reasons I shouldn’t blog anime. jk, but wouldn’t be ironic if I placed this super-female blog-entity beside #57, chivalry.
*checks aggregator* I’m already subscribed… the me from a few days ago must have thought it important ^^
Cheers to this collective!
Aww, looks like I missed out. I hate being one of the last to comment! Count me in!
This all-girl blogging effort is getting me hyped up, seriously. It makes me want to torment my best friend, who happens to be a guy, by making another gundam kit in girly-flowery colors. rofl
Yay! Shugo Chara! won in the Best Children’s Manga category! (But I hope They Don’t hold Back in the Amuto Scenes Because of That) ^^
@Marmot: we are now the Female Bloggers of ze Rebellion! rawr!
@bluemist: no we’re not part of your harem!!
and yes, we do hope we’ll reawaken your shoujo-loving soul!
@lk: no gays allowed!
@Ryan: thanks!
@Blissmo: are you sure you’re not a trap?!
@KaeBoo: lol! I’d love to see that girly Gundam figure
@Stewart: haha, yes, Amuto alll the way baby
Kiseki_gurl told me about your girls blogging club thingy and contrary to my misleading name I too, am one of the … almost all female team on A2M. In short, I’d be interested in joining too.
