Yoshitoshi Abe is one of my favorite artist as well :) I love his style. He mentioned that he is embarrassed to show his works sometimes because they expose himself. That is how a true artist should paint, putting her/his soul into work :)

It's been awhile since I've commented.

Yoshitoshiabe does have a very intriguing style. I wouldn't say I LOVE his art. But I do think it's interesting how his art provokes feelings of Tsutomu Nihei (who is one of my favorite artists), both artists draw bleak and beautiful scenes.

the 2nd image is my favorite. But I don't know why it reminds me of Claymore.

Artbooks are so fun. I own one myself the "Tsukihime Plus Period" book.
