@Pasta: knowing about that spoiler made me all the more empathize with Murasaki's sadness... but I still have to go read the novel to really know the details of this incident, how Shinkurou saved her etc.

@Owen: yes, SRS BSNS. I read a little of the supposedly Ryuuji abduction incident in this episode and it just fanned by RAGEEE for Ryuuji, more fucked up, etc.

Love those emotes too :XO:

@Pasta: well you asked for it, so here goes :P
Ryuuji takes Murasaki to some hotel and attempts to rape her... I'm not sure how this scene will go in the anime considering the changes they've made though, hmm.
@Dando008: Shin is too dense to think of that kiss romantically. I also think it's an innocent kiss from Murasaki's viewpoint. But if the author meant it to be otherwise, I wouldn't mind it either. My stand on this issue: innocent until proven otherwise :)

@Pasta: I say you'd have to prepare yourself for what is to come, with Ryuuji's evil plots. It might make you cringe and be filled with rage for the pedo guy, and that should allow you to appreciate the show even more.

And yes, the anime didn't show the entirety of Shinkurou's past, for understandable reasons. After his parents died, Ginko's family took him in, and they just visit the orphanage from time to time to play with the other kids. And the meeting with Benika happened during one of those visits.

there's nothing spoilerish about GAR, it's just a term to refer to an ever masculine or heroic trait of a guy, which we should see once Shin gets out of his cowardly shell and fight like a REAL MAN. More info about GAR here :D

The secrets of the Kuhouin has been pretty much revealed in this episode, and of course it's to be expected that the good side will win in the end. It'll just entail one epic fight, to end it all.

Thank you for the summary, I have been reluctant to watch episode nine but after this I'll give it a go.
From watching the anime I don't think they mentioned his parents died in an airplane accident did they? After they died Shin was sent to an orphanage where he met Benika and the rest of the story should be straight forward i would assume.
I hope you dont mind if I ask you for a couple more spoilers like what is GAR, what is the Kuhouins secret and who wins in the end?

One thing that has everyone wilded up was the kiss Murasaki gave to Shin. I for one agree that it is a kiss of love. It is almost like Murasaki's confission to Shin. I would just wonder how Shin himself thinks about the kiss. Others allow it as a family sister/brother kiss. And of course there are others that just blow things out of proportion and says it's a loli kiss and things like that.

@Ryunatta: nothing like the original as they say. Without the original novels as a basis of comparison however, the anime is indeed great :-)
