[Poll] Help Us Decide What to do With the ‘Asides’ Section of the Blog
I’d love to have those bunny headphones. Oh and that multi-purpose dango chair too.
Since the little ‘aside’ blurb I made a few days back was cast-aside for understandable reasons, I thought it would be appropriate to ask for some user feedback through a proper blog post and some poll (finally!) instead.
To those of you who are wondering what mumble jumble I’m talking about here, please take a look at this pic and tell us your opinion about that lost little ‘aside’ section there in the middle portion of the screen (you can also go to the homepage and see it live). How should make the most out of this section? Read on, comment in this post, or just vote in the poll (in this post or in the sidebar).
I was thinking of posting either mini-blurbs on animes, live-action, mangas and games, some random news about those as well, site updates, or perhaps twitter-like entries from the chefs about… whatever interesting stuff o.O I’m not really sure if this section is of any use, so if you think it’s not necessary, then feel free to say so, so we can just scrap it and get on with our lives ^^; Otherwise, if you give it a go, then we’re gonna use this space for some in-blog micro-blogging.
Oh, and I’m still wondering about the right location to place this ‘asides’ section, if ever we decide to stick with it. It’s originally at the bottom of the latest posts, after the ‘featured post’ section which is still inactive for now. But then if it’s at the bottom of the screen, then the chances of it getting noticed is also low. So now, it’s kinda lost.

I like the mini blurbs like Ryan A does with his blog
I think the mini blurbs would be a good idea for both the readers and bloggers since it gives you a chance to write something about shows you’re watching that may not need an entire post for (and a chance for us to read them)
A agree with the mini blurbs for your homepage. The thing is though I rarely see your homepage since the way I check out anime blogs is though Google Reader.

@issa-sa: yes indeed, I might just merge my MAL mini-blog with this blog for that ^^
@Dando008: and that goes the same for many other people, either they read through the google reader, or stumble upon certain posts through search engines. I’m gonna have to put a separate feed on this asides thingy…
I voted for MAL blog integration and RL happenings of the chefs. Needs a personal touch!
