The first step is always the hardest, you just have to persist and continue on… I highly suggest playing games that has translations in gamefaqs or other sites first, to accompany you as you play. You can learn quite a lot from that already

I’ve found your site through Liajaka and AoTan’s otome blogs. (And I was surprised to learn you’re a Pinay too.) I’ve been procrastinating to play because of the language factor but I’m inspired to start sooner after seeing all the games that you’ve played. Can you read/speak Jap? Keep up the good job!

@Hinano: roflll. I haven’t seen any games with a fujoshi heroine yet. The closest heroine to a fujoshi that I can think of is in this upcoming game Real Rode, where the protagonist is a fangirl otaku

Maybe with Harutoki 4 being very close to a mainstream RPG, you can try to use it to convert people

@Sasa: hmm… I think there are young’ns out there interested in otome games as well, but it just so happens that many of us here are gaijins who don’t really play Japanese games. With the few percentage of people playing Japanese “mainstream” games, the number of otome gamers are even less

@Taiyaki: right now I’m telling you to keep an eye on the upcoming Junjou Romantica

@Hinano: ah, I was referring to a news resource kind of site for otome games hehe. There’s only little coverage of otome games in the blogosphere, which includes you, and Taiyaki, among others Not sure if I can post lengthy reviews like yours, so I’ll just be on the lookout for news and such events lol.
