Lovely to look at, nice to hold, but I probably wouldn’t eat it even if it was sold.
I was doing a random Shugo Chara Googling today when this Scrumptious-looking Shugo Tama chocolate caught my eye in Peach Pit’s blog. *___* It was given away as free presents for damn lucky bastards in Japan in connection with this Peach Pit or Kodansha celebration, or whatsoever event I don’t really care anymore because the said promo has ended. Not like we can grab hold of it anyways, so let’s just all stare at the pic and imagine what this Theobroma chocolate egg tastes like.
Free or not, I don’t think I’ll be able to eat these chocolates (if I ever had the chance of owning it, that is). It’s exhibit-material! It’s the kind that you preserve and put on display, for life. Only not-so-avid Shugo Chara fans will have the heart to eat this I believe. Then again, we can make a DIY version of this so we can eat it without much remorse. My lazy self just can’t do that, at least not now. If I was in a baking spree like I was years back, I probably would’ve made a Haro cake based on the recipe I got from Newtype by now. Then I probably would’ve made my own Antique Bakery or something.
In connection with the Peach Pit Kodansha celebration, there’s also a Desktop icon set (and wallpaper) up for grabs in Peach Pit’s site, so you can go Shugo Chara-nari your PC while lamenting over not being able to get one of these Chocolate eggs. I wish they made the icons aqua version instead, but then beggars can’t be choosers. The wallpaper looks lovely, nonetheless.
P.S. This must be one of the first few posts we have dedicated to food. It might be a good idea to dedicate a space of the blog for these real scrumptious stuffs, and live up to our name.
those icons are cute i think ill download them when I get home
Wow, that chocolate egg is pretty amazing. But I know I couldn’t eat it. It took eight years for my parents to get me to eat a chocolate rabbit on Easter because I thought they looked too nice (and that was just crap from the local grocery store).
It’s probably just as well I can’t get the egg, it would just get thrown away by my dad once it was around too long (because I know I’d never be able to eat it). But I’ll definitely take those icons. They look so cute.
i would just eat the chocolate b.c i am a chocolate lover !! i think i might get the icons i dunno yet
but the chocolate must taste awesome !! it is chocolate rite ?
Oh god, the dilemma… It’s chocolate, must eat… But it’s so pretty… NO, CHOCOLATE = EAT… *gah*
It’s chocolate, so no doubt it’ll be yummy. And it’s Theobroma chocolate after all! (I haven’t tasted this kind of chocolate, but if they emphasized this chocolate so much then it better be good).
and Tam Tam, your nick remind me so much of the chocolate Tim Tam which I’m so craving for right now *___*
Never been a fan of chocolate eggs. *runs*
But more food posts = YAY!
That chocolate egg looks gorgeous and delicious! If it’s up to me, I’m not so sure if “preserving” it will win… maybe if it were soap, I won’t use it and just display it… but chocolate, it’s meant to be eaten!
LOL, Tim Tams are yum!
4 real thats so cool i never tried Tim tams be4 how do they taste ???
@Caitlin: I’m not really a fan of chocolate eggs per se, but this chocolate just looks so yummy
@hazy: well yeah, preserving it might be a waste instead lol. But hey if I got this for free I might just eat it! Otherwise I wouldn’t really dare buy a chocolate I won’t eat in the first place
@Tam Tam: uhm, yummy? lol. I suck at describing stuff like this, but it’s just lusciously chocolatey, melts in your mouth with the biscuity stuff within. It’s not as sweet as other chocolates like Cadbury’s or Hershey’s to
Ok enough of that I’m making myself crave for this more
Just check this site out for more info.
lmfao ty 4 da info i would luv 2 eat that im goin 2 try hard where 2 find this

@___@ that’s so cute! I want to get one of my own….but then again I would never want to eat it because it’s so cute >>
Ahahahahaha… xD;
I’ve seen these at another mangaka’s blog. Guess what, they’re hollow, and I think they have something inside it. <<;
@Kiseki: ehhh, any info on what’s inside it then, other than chocolate? =O I’d be surprised and amused if there was a non-food thingy stuffed in there o_o
I’m not completely sure, but one of the pictures that the mangaka posted had part of the top broken off (perfectly…) and by the hole was an Iru keychain placed into a plastic bag. 8D;

Start from there, then go to the next page. =w=
@Kiseki: oohhh o.o;;; That’s wow. Now I feel even more envious of the ones who got the choco prize
*hugs her mini gashapon Iru keychain to console herself*
oh ehm gee…Seeing that egg makes me want to make some Shugo Chara inspired food myself…o-o It’s just so pretty…And those pics made me envious. Dx But ’tis okay, I guess. I would’ve probably taken loads of pictures and then eaten it…lol Especially since now there’s keychains inside. <3
Lulz. xD;
Iru keychain = <333
