Just to keep you guys updated with what’s happening in the metablogging scene of Scrumptious, here are the bunch of experiments changes/updates made to the blog since my last announcement:
-
After months of using this new theme, I only realized that the tags pages are not working! So yeah, tags are useless atm
I replaced them with categories now, so you see them after the post ["filed under "]
-
After hours of debating (with myself) about what font to use (the site seems to be having issues with the original sans serif font), I finally settled with the good old Verdana. Big bulgy font FTW! Less classy, but more readable as well.

I restored WP-Spamkiller again, after the sudden increase in the spams we’re getting these weeks. I don’t have time to check the spams gathered to see whether there’s any comments mistaken to be spam, see :/ If you guys still encounter the Javascript error, please contact us so we’ll know how many of you are having this issue. In the meantime, you can use another browser to post your comment, that’s how I managed to post my comment on blogs where I encountered the same error. It’s a pain but yeah >_< We’ll see what we can do about this.
-
And I think most of you have noticed the smilies toolbar we have over there in the comments area. It’s all thanks to the plugin Smilies Themer and this lovely Pau emoticons pack by Noktah Hitam.

I finally gave in to tweeting. The other chefs actually have their twitter accounts too, but they’re too shy to reveal it to the public
And I’m enjoying twitting so much that it’s gonna be where I’ll blurb about almost everything. I’m getting all confused about what to write in our Asides post and also in my MAL blog, so to end my agony, I’ll just go tweet them all!
-
And last but not the least, we have a new Review Index page accessible through the header menu. This idea was shamelessly borrowed from otou-san, with his clean and organized professional-looking site (unlike ours)
I actually wonder if I should include even the series we dropped blogging, hmm.
Ja ne! See you when I get the tags working or something
Don’t forget to vote in the poll embedded in this post (also in the blog sidebar), or drop as a comment about what you think of this theme so far. Comments and suggestions are most welcome!

Verdana seems a good choice of font, simple and aesthetically pleasing. At least to me.
Also, I wondered where the blogroll went. I was going to ask for a link.
I prefer the verdana- it’s alot more readable and I think it looks alot better (Verdana is my favourite font
) Ah and welcome to twitter….now you need to join tumblr and you’re set to have followed all the trends
As long as I’m still in the blogroll, everything’s cool
Oh and:
>>After hours of debating (with myself)
Man, what do your friends THINK of you?
@C.I.: the blogroll link is still there in the sidebar, never thought people found it useful there in the header, guess I’ll bring that back again then
@Saya: haha, no more social networking. I’m ok with twitter (and also plurk), among other ones I joined
@blissmo: hey it’s not as crazy as I made it sound like
@Usagijen: I used to be into social networking, actually, although I think my facebook is deader than…..well…..dead things. And I also have never used twitter, looks nice and quirky though.
Also, can I has blogroll link exchange?
What was your font before? I can’t even remember. Let’s hope this comment goes through. ^_^
And it does! Works on Safari 3 Mac OS X Leopard but not Firefox 3.
@C.I.: twitter is addicting. And there’s no way you can pass up on updating/checking it when it’s just sitting there in your firefox status bar lol.
and yes, your love for Toshokan Sensou has given you the right to be in my
book of friendsblogroll@Caitlin: Old font was ugly Arial
I think the author of the WP-SpamKiller plugin is working on making this plugin better, and I can only hope I can find out what’s really making it have the Javascript error
@Usagijen: Epic Thanks. ^_^
Thanks for the shout, but for your own sake, try not to also borrow my idea of never updating the Review Index page
@otou-san: lol yes, I’ll try my best to not be lazy
