A Close Encounter with Nature and a Bunch of Chamomiles

Excuse my reminiscence…

I had the luxury of going to Eden nature park during my Davao trip, together with the hamster chef and another friend of ours. We took this opportunity to go on a guided shuttle tour around the vast land of Eden, where we felt really close to nature as we roamed around its beautiful botanical gardens~ There I had a close encounter with… the great chamomiles (or so that’s what I think it is)!!

My friends must have wondered why I was so excited over the chamomiles. I resisted the urge to go TS fangurl mode or I’ll be spouting random nonsense as I tell them that this is the great flower symbolizing the passion and fervor of the Librarians of Toshokan Sensou, as well as our love for the anime!! :P Seleria hasn’t watched Toshokan Sensou yet, so I couldn’t share my joy with her as well, at least not yet.

But that’s not all there was to the nature park visit we had. Aside from getting closer to nature on land, we also got closer to the skies, thanks to the pure awesome zip line SkyRider +__+ Now I know how those Amazing Race peeps feel in their zipline adventures. I felt like shouting “I’m the queen of the world!!!” throughout my “ride”. It was great, and would love to try it out again!! :D

The last activity we had was fishing, where I spent about 2 hours before catching at least one fish!! T__T I blame the worm bait I had, it didn’t attract enough of the fishies’ attention. I switched from one place to another in order to find a “good fishing spot”, and settled on the spot where a bunch of kids got hold of a bunch of fishes (They were better than me! what a shame) I was the last one among me and my two friends to catch a fish, so they had to wait for me in my fishing quest. That’s all for the bunny’s furry adventures! :P

Pictures c/o Seleria and her sexy cam :D

P.S. I should be able to make a proper anime/manga post by tomorrow… I must! XD

  1. Hmmm, are you sure? I don’t know anything about Chamomiles, but I looked up some pics and German and Roman have more of a yellow ball in the middle and smaller (and more numerous) petals… Don’t let that stop you from pimping out TS to your friend, though!

  4. That’s a beautiful flower. I’ve seen it before but I never looked up the name. That park looks like a lot of fun too. ^_^

  5. @Kabitzin: I’m not really sure since I noticed the same disparity with the real chamomiles when I looked it up. Have to go consult a botany expert to tell us what that flower really is :P

@Ryan: yes, if it actually is a chamomile XD I have to treat myself to a chamomile tea one of these days ^^

@mellow_bunny: ah yes, you go do that. A little rural break from time to time will be good for your health :D

@Caitlin: I’d call this one a pseudo-Chamomile, because I’m not really sure it it’s the real one :P Whatever its name really is, it’s a beautiful flower indeed. The park is great too, great scenery, activities, and great fooddd~ :P

  9. @issa-sa: I actually “preserved” one of the pseudo-chamomile flowers I got, dried pressed (I don’t really know how you call ths method) in one of my notebooks XD And yes you have to try out the zipline!! It’s scary at first, but real awesome and exciting once you’re already on top of the world :P
