Fellow Filipino bloggers have already given their respective heads-up and go signal for this, mine will just be a random bragging blog post about my plan to watch Tokikake on the big screen tomorrow
Gonna watch this with KaeBoo and hazy, both of whom I’ll be meeting for the first time. I also invited two other friends of mine but they already had other plans
If Seleria was here I would’ve invited her too, huhu.
From what I gather, Zeroblade, Diego, and mike will be watching too, but I’ll be with the all-girls group and I don’t really know how I’ll meet them up hahaha.
This film showing is part of the Jpop Anime Matsuri, one of the sub-events in this year’s Eiga Sai. From what I heard, getting a ticket to this free admission film-showing is gonna be anal, which means I have to head to Edsa Shangri la Mall as soon as it opens to be sure of a slot (or at least, before lunch time) T-T If I don’t get a ticket tomorrow, I’m gonna wish this wasn’t a free admission showing, so less people would’ve attended!
Wish me luck! I’m gonna fight my way through the long queue of EMO weeaboos (as described by one of my officemates) tomorrow to secure myself a [free] ticket
i wish some of the anime related events would have it’s venue in cebu…
good luck with your fight with the EMO weeaboos then…
I missed the good ol’ days where Eiga Sai was first introduced…only a very few handful of people know about it and there’s no waiting to get a free ticket.
Now a days, it’s quite such a pain in the ass to wait in line together with the other newfags weaboos >.>
@kaz3phyrous: I’m sure many people share your plight (as I know other fellow anime fanatics in Cebu as well). As it turns out, there were actually no EMO weeaboos! Thanks to the rain for driving them off, I guess
@Metatron: unexpectedly so, I didn’t wait to get a free ticket =O It wasn’t as overwhelming as I thought it would be, though getting the ticket still became a difficult feat because they were sold out about 45 minutes before the movie screentime.
@KaeBoo: *pats* I’m sorry to hear what you’ve been through for this
I hope there’ll be a next time too!
TokiKake was awesome and I had so much fun! Thanks again! Until next time. ;P
@hazy: glad you enjoyed it!! Looking forward to another get-together like this one ^-^
I had a wonderful time. Watching TokiKake on a sucky CRT computer monitor is one thing; seeing it on the big screen - and without the luxury of skipping forward or back - is another thing entirely.
I’m pleased to report that my sister enjoyed the film. Imouto-chan was the one who first got me into anime a couple of years back, but she’s more into J-pop and J-drama these days so I’m glad to put her back in touch with the world she herself once introduced to me.
Looking forward to the next one! (And let’s hope they throw in a couple of Shinkai films to crown the 2009 festival.)
(Incidentally, I caught the 2 PM Sunday screening. Which one did you go to?)
@Diego: yeah, it was totally awesome, especially for someone who got moments of epiphany during this rewatch (on the big screen). Here’s to more anime movies on the big screen!
Glad your imouto liked it. My oniichan is no fun… he slept through it when we first watched it through our DivX player
that’s probably what ruined my first watch.
oohh, and I watched the 2pm screening too! It would’ve been great if we met you guys there
i LOVE this anime!!!

i watched so many tiemS!!!
but at the end…
i thought the guy’s gonna kiss her but he didnt!!!!!!!
aw…
