Sometimes A Cute Mascot Just Ain’t Enough…
…to make you strive to continue on following a show. Yes, I’m looking at you, World Destruction.
Whenever I think of whether to continue following World Destruction, I end up watching Nodame Cantabile instead, the anime with mascots and splendid music (and story) too. Juxtaposed side-by-side each other, obviously, World Destruction is no match against Nodame Cantabile, unless we’re talking about pure silliness and randomness and mascot cuteness in these two shows.
The cute Bonta-kun like mascot of World Destruction that is Toppy won my heart with 3 episodes, and I realllyyy want a plushie. Like RIGHT. NOW. I’m just not sure if I’m up to watching more of the animu =/ If I was following less shows this summer, perhaps I would’ve given it a slot in my watch-list. But unfortunately, I already have too much under my hands. Not to mention my regular work and occasional procrastination blues 
So yeah, I think I’m bidding goodbye to World Destruction and saying hello to more Nodame Cantabile. This way, I have enough time to catch up before the Paris chapter begins this October! Yosha!

Pure silliness and randomness is my favourite flavour! ’tis a shame I already have enough of that.
Cantabile was a solid series for me. Yessah 2007!
Haha, right now there’s one show that’s not even from 2008 that I’m watching as a backup for whatever show this season I’ve decided not to, of which World Miyano Sakamoto Bonta Destruction is one of them.
Of course, Nodame Cantabile is everything
I follow this series simply to make fun of it.

Depends of the said mascot, though. Kuma might not cut it, but some just have irresistable draw. I watched 60+ episodes of Hoshi no Kaabii series (Kirby of the Stars) just to see Kirby and really enjoyed it (worshipping Kirby’s seiyuu XD). Quite shocking, since I usually prefer mature anime.

The show’s supposed to be re-run in Japan this year, I think. HnK subbed the show up to 60 sth out of 100. You can check the usual torrent sites or youtube for Hoshi no Kaabii. (Spreading Kirby love XD) Just avoid the English dub. Mexican metaknight is sooo… (;_;).

I wouldn’t exactly abandon World Destruction…but I really LOVE Nodame Cantabile…so between these two…my love for Nodame Cantabile’s awesomeness weights more than a ton compared to me liking this new series. :’p
Actually the whole reason why I wanted to watch it…was because Sakamoto-san and Mamo-chan were voicing the main characters…xDD LAWL
So…it’s not bad, there were funny moments here and there…but I’m not into Toppi’s cuteness. D:
(Well, I’d prolly buy a stuff toy of him…but for collection purposes..xD)Well, I’m more into Ranka’s(Macross Frontier) cuteness, nothing beats it.
Unless it’s a chibi Ren, then he wins hands down!
Now I feel like rewatching Nodame…it’s funnier and I totally agree with you. Awesome music/plot/characters. Nodame is LOVE.
and I’m missing Chiaki…coz he’s hilarious too when he’s stuck with Nodame.

@Wija-chan: haha, I do think many people are watching World Destruction for seiyuu reasons alone too. Nodame Cantabile is much much more worth my time, compared to the silly show that is World Destruction lol.

Sad to say…maybe that’s why they chose Mamo-chan and Sakamoto-san so that some people would at least watch it.
