Ah. -nods-
I have a tolerance for these things too.
I'm more of the tear-jerker-loving type, but I can surprisingly, tolerate cheesy things.
Well, it's better than watching a boring show, right?
It's nice this show isn't boring, rather I keep asking for more once an episode finishes. x'D (at one point I wanted to slow down and not watch the next episode for 'suspenseful' reasons, but I ended up marathon-ing the whole season..HAHA!)
Lawl, my fault. x'D Now I can't wait for the next episodes. >w<

@Hazuki: I was a bit disappointed that Ange never seemed to show us the swordfighting skills she learned... until episode 7. I'm just glad she managed to protect herself now, even though she's still a n00b as ever in handling the sword XD

@Jayers: That's what sets Neo Angelique apart from the rest of the Angelique franchise I believe. Cheesy as ever, but presents characters who I can empathize with. Though only a select few can handle this much cheesiness ^^;

@Wija-chan: it's awesome once you are able to get into it. That's always the most difficult, the first few steps before getting into a show. I go LOL and giggle at the cheesiness, but manage to find it enjoyable and heartwarming because of my great tolerance for these things.

@issa-sa: understandable :P

I liked the idea that she's finally going to stand up for herself and not only let the bishies protect her. ^_^
I like female characters that are kickass.
I marathon'd the first season a few weeks ago and was banging my head on my desk coz I wanted to watch the 2nd season in sub already. xD
But I guess it may take awhile...so recently I just decided to watch them all in raw for now, while waiting for the sub version.

Haha~ I thought it was cheesy too, but it got me hook. No, not only because I'm a huge bishie-whore and that I love Hyuuga so much...lawl xD
The story can really capture you once you start watching it.
It may not seem that awesome to some, but I really like the series. :'3
The characters aren't useless either...it's as if they were made to fit in the whole plot. Which is good.

Anyways...
I've never watched the other Angelique titles so I can't tell which title is better. O_o
But this one is definitely worth the watch. ^_^

It was bit too cheesy for me at the first two episodes. I tried watching some of the second season but was totally lost. But it's good to hear that the director actually tried to incorporate some plot into the story rather than it just being the tale of a young mary-sue and her reverse harem.

I just finished watching the first 7 episodes of second age a couple of days ago. I'm glad that you gave another reveiw for this. I have to admit that it is cheesy...but the ending of the first season just left you with a shocking cliff hanger it makes you wonder how Angelique will become queen. I was also happy that Angelique wanted to learn how to fight with a sword...
