Vampire Knight for the DS: A Bloody Love Sim Game
I’ve been slacking off quite a lot from posting about otome games lately, and I took this time to think of what my otome game posting plans really are. I’ve become lazy to continue on with the Otome Games Digest, because it’s a drag thinking of what to write about the other games I’m not wholeheartedly interested in. Instead of posting otome games news snippets in digest form, I just decided to dedicate a separate post for otome games which peak my interest enough to merit such an attention. This is also a much better ‘hook’ than the Otome Games Digest, given that the title itself hints on what game I’ll be talking about. They might be noise posts for some readers who subscribe to the blog, but whatever, so long as I’m having fun sharing about them, then that’s all that matters 
The first game I’ll be talking about after the big otome game posting break I took, is no other than Vampire Knight for the DS. This is actually old news already, since it was announced way back August, but since the mention of this news tidbit never fails to elicit chuckles from the people I talked to about it, I decided to post about it still. Most people would already know about the basic premise of Vampire Knight, which I also mentioned in this VK anime announcement post almost a year ago.
And yes, that vampire emo angst fest manga/anime is gonna have its DS game adaptation, to be released this coming December. It’s said to be a “bloody love-sim game”, where you play as Yuuki Cross, the ever confused girl torn between Zero and Kaname~ With this, VK fans not only get the chance to help Yuuki decide which guy she should end up with, they’d also be able to have the guy they want all to themselves (and their own fantasies)! This love-sim game should no longer come a surprise since Yuuki has been acting like a sissy otome game heroine throughout most of the manga’s run. So yeah, becoming an otome game heroine just makes her fulfill her HONTOU no JIBUN

Lol @ “Hontou no Jibun”. Is that why they never made a Saiunkoku Monogatari / Yamato Nadeshiko game because their heroines are not sissy otome game heroines?
But in that case Fruits Basket’s Honda Tohru should be prime otome game heroine material.
This is one of the games I’m looking forward to in December, along with ‘Real Rode’.
@Chocochell: I never thought about Saiunkoku and Yamato Nadeshiko till you mentioned about it! Saiunkoku would’ve been an epic ‘adventure / love-sim game’, an RPG game would be fine too. But I don’t think it was phenomenal enough to merit its own game, boo T__T Tohru would be perfect as an otome game heroine as well, though it’s weird to see her paired up with other guys aside from Kyou and Yuki
Real Rode is one of the games I’m really really looking forward to. I waited almost two years for that game!!!
Heh. I actually hadn’t heard of this, but as soon as I saw this post I laughed and then rolled my eyes. It really is just too perfect, but in the image they all have their emo poses going too much and it makes me laugh.
Ah, Vampire Knight. Somehow, I think I’d like it better as a game. Hmm, maybe we’ll see if I end up with some extra money soon.

sounds like a good idea for a game but it dosent hold to much apeal to me as im a guy, personaly id like to se VK as a RPG or somthing but having only watched the anime i cant comment on how well a game that whould be if it was to follow the rest of the story still VK’s awesome
Anime is the best. I love all the guys in Vampire Knight when I saw the Chairman Cross as a vampire hunter i was…… :$:. But all the guys are really really hot. I hope the the game will come out in english so i can buy it.
