The lengthy Singapore Trip narrative continued! Also, it was not until later in Day 2 that I also regretted not contacting Stripey-nii for a meet-up… totally slipped my mind x__x;
Day 3

view outside the cable car – part of which is the monorail we didn’t get to ride
It’s the exciting Sentosa day!
While the rest of the people were at work or in school, Hazel and I were slacking off. We slept until it was almost noon, before finally heading to Sentosa. We took one of the cable car packages, so we tried our best to make the most out of it, visiting the places included in the said package. Underwater World was the first in our itinerary, so we toured inside the oceanarium, gazed at the sea creatures, touched a manta ray, got amazed by the tiny sea angel, and the jellyfishies which I certainly hope I won’t encounter in the open sea ever. And I suck at taking pictures of the fishies, so the pic above is but one of the handful of good shots I had x__x;

I was actually taking a picture of the dolphin…
Then we headed to the Dolphin Lagoon for the dolphin show, and I enjoyed it a lot! Seeing dolphins is one of my little childhood dreams and now it’s finally been fulfilled! Too bad we were running out of time, otherwise I would’ve loved to join the dolphin interaction session so I can get to touch the cute pink dolphins ;___;

Hariraya decorations which reminded me of Cebu’s puso (hanging rice)
It was raining by the time the dolphin show was finished, so we thought of going to the CineBlast first before riding the Luge and the SkyRide. CineBlast was fun, but not quite worth the bucks. More than my own experience of having been fooled into thinking that the 4D world is FURREALZ, with the very exciting log ride — thrown into a chaos of logs, running into broken bridges, etc. – what I found to be even more fun was observing the person beside me who’s going all “OMGZ I’m gonna dieeee!!” panic mode
When logs get “thrown” to the audience, I just blurt out a sarcastic “omgz I’m scared!” remark or an arrogant “bring it on!”, while this woman was exerting all her energies trying to avoid the logs as though she was running for her life roflll. Real fun
Ok, I’ll stop making of the poor woman now *chuckles*
The next stop was, finally, The LUGEEE!!! Their catchphrase “…because once is never enough” is so true. There was only one Luge-Skyride combo ride included in our package, and it was soo not enough. The fun only started after that, so we took another round of Luge-Skyride. And I feel somewhat proud for getting past one kid and one woman during the luge ride lol. The experience was way better than Go-Kart, with which I had a little trauma for bumping into the side foams(?) a number of times orz.

birds are flying!
If we weren’t hurrying, we could’ve ridden the Luge for 3 times or more, but alas, we had to leave early because we have to meet with Hazel and Kat’s ex-colleagues / friends by 7 pm. We paid for our photos in Luge as well as Skyride, but unfortunately, we were all too preoccupied with thoughts of hurrying to notice that we weren’t able to get our actual SkyRide photos orz. So yeah, the attendants can just do whatever they want with it. We took the cable car for our return trip, got fooled into buying yet another expensive souvenir pic, then on to our next stop.

scenic view on our way back
Hazel was reunited with her ex-colleagues, all of whom are now working in Singapore, and I just side comment from time to time (since I am a bit out of place :P) while enjoying the Chai Tea Latte(?) they bought for me in Starbucks (Yes, free stuff again!). After that, we went to a nearby Bee Cheng Hiang, where most of my moolah went to orz. 7-8kgs worth of goodies costing about 310SGD! X__x Kat helped carry one of my BIG BAG of goodies, and I honestly don’t know what I could’ve done without her.
Despite the inconvenient situation we were in (mostly caused by me and my spending spree), we decided to head to Esplanade Park for a close encounter with the Merlion (we didn’t get up-close-and-personal with the Merlion in Sentosa =/). The night view in the park was spectacular, certainly worth staying up for. But since we didn’t have all the time in the world, we only spent a few hours in the area, taking snapshots of whatever comes to our sight.

Ferris wheels will forever remind me of Honey and Clover.
I went all trigger-happy mode so I ran out of battery before I could take a good picture of the Durian-shaped dome near the place
Too bad I didn’t bring my tripod with me, that would’ve allowed me to take better pictures, since my hand is so not steady

yummy fooodss
We had another feast after that, had satay barbecue, chilli manta ray and chicken wings. They were all yummy~!! X3 We went home not long after that.
I feel proud of having done a good deed this day too. I gave my seat to a grandpa in one of our MRT rides! I went all Chinese-y and told him 請坐 (please sit down), even if he can already understand my gesture. Speaking Chinese makes me feel closer to them, it seems… I was very glad to see them happy with what I did, especially when they told me 謝謝 with a big smile on their face ;___;
Then during our last MRT ride on the way home, we saw this goth lesbian couple… I WA SHOKKU O_O;
Day 4
The last (but not the least) day.
We thought of doing some school visiting this day, but since we were running out of time, we just decided to go to Bugis and shop for omiyages — keychains and whatnot. We spent a few hours in the place, before finally heading home, since we still have to pack some of our stuff in preparation for our trip back. Saw a bunch of street vendors selling ice cream bread so I bought one for my dessert. Yum yum~ and it didn’t turn out all messy like my first ice cream eating experience

cute prezzies from Hynavian and Ascaloth~
Nighttime came and we headed to the airport, accompanied by Kat and Roel, both of whom came straight from their work. Hynavian also went to see us off, accompanied by Ascaloth, who gave this really cute bunny cellphone pouch prezzie (Thanks!!). We just finished dinner after Hynavian and Ascaloth arrived in the budget terminal, and we spent a few more hours talking about quite a whole range of topics — partially thanks to Roel and his geekiness — from economics (which I couldn’t really relate to), to Hello Kitty stuff (lolz), Roel’s horrible experience(s) in London, etc. Then, Ascaloth brought up the “you don’t look like your character in the renai blogger game” issue orz. He’s like the first ever person to have brought that up, and since I didn’t exactly tell Roel about that game nor the fact that I play otome / dating-sim games (he already left our office when the renai blogger game was conceived by Hinano, though I highly doubt I would’ve told him about it if he was still here anyways), he was shocked, surprised, and amused (I don’t really know anymore) when he found out that I actually starred in a dating-sim. He was laughing most of the time, teasing me about it, makes me want to smack him on the face or something T__T;
We had our bags checked in first (Boy was I relieved that we didn’t get past the weight limit, or more like, my friend Hazel didn’t get past the weight limit so it offset my excess *whew*), then continued on with the little chit-chat, until it was almost time for our flight, and we had to say adieu. A few hours later and it was touchdown! Arrived safe and sound in our home country. I slept a few more hours in Hazel’s house first before heading home, lol.
Till the next Singapore trip! Looking forward to going back
Hope I can drag Seleria with me in my next travel, either to Singapore or in Japan!!

I’ve always found a smiling Eeyore to be full of irony… I so want one!!!
What is that green thing floating in the (presumed) manta ray dipping sauce? And how was chilli manta ray?
(we didnt get to get up-close-and-personal with the Merlion in Sentosa =/)
This and that Merlion picture makes it so suggestive as to what you are saying.
Chili manta ray. A pity I don’t eat seafood.
I’m looking forward to going back myself. We spent six days there and it wasn’t enough – not by a long shot. I could’ve blown a week just for the museums alone (in the end, we only managed to visit the National Museum on Stamford Road).
Did you by any chance go to Esplanade Mall? There’s a great little movie memorabilia store there that sells chirashi.
@Caitlin: About the green thing – it looks like a calamansi to me. I’m not sure about that, though; perhaps the author can confirm it for us . . .
Lmao! You shoulda been like “shut up and play the game!!”
You were in Singapore… and I didn’t know it.
Well, sorry for the faux pas on Ren’Ai Blogger. Should have brought it up to you in private instead.
Glad you like the cellphone pouch though, it was Hynavian who said she wanted to buy something for the both of you, and when she asked me what to get you both, I was like “get something with rabbits lor….usagijen what. :p
I especially liked going to Bugis Junction (read Bugis with the train accent :P), mainly because our hotel was near there and it had a booth with loads of Emily Strange goodies.
I didn’t get to try the luge T_T We went up the Merlion in Sentosa but I didn’t get to see the one at Esplanade. I missed a lot of other stuff too. Must visit again.
Ferris wheel = Honey and Clover for me too, with Split or Waltz automatically playing in my head.
@issa: eh, what irony? He’s just… adorable!
@Caitlin: that’s calamansi, as Diego also pointed out
We didn’t use it though… the chili manta ray is already good enough as it is!
@Panther: lolwhat? *corrects a grammatical error spotted in the quoted statement*
@Diego: museums! Never been to one, sadly… we didn’t make the most out of our time there
We also weren’t able to go to Esplanade Mall because it was already late… it was already closed by the time we finished taking a stroll around the park
I’ll certainly take note of that for my next visit!
@Hinano: but that’d tantamount to pimping myself or something! lol.
@Briar: Sorry Briarrr!!!
I always thought you were too busy and forgot to email you ;______; I’ll make sure to contact you when I go to SG again, would love to meet you!!
@Ascaloth: haha, don’t worry about that. Now I just wonder if Roel actually played the game lolz.
@hazy: Wah, The Luge is one of the must try in SG! Yes, you should definitely go there again!!
I didn’t know you came to singapore either. Lols.
@zenical: yeah it was kind of a short notice, I only gave tidbits about my planned trip in one of the posts, so yeah >_< It would’ve been a completely different story if I went to SG for the AFA!
usagijen, I really thought you were there for some other ‘business’ =p
But maybe you should have waited for AFA? They’re having May’n over for the AFA!!!! I so wanna go to Singapore now!! Can I have my bonus in advance???!!!!
Awhs, pretty awesome trip. Also, where’s the beaches @_@
@hayase: hahaha, next time perhaps I’ll be on that ‘business’
I soo wanna go too! But sigh, oh well, there’s always next year!!
@Ryan: lol, beach kinshi!!
If we go on a longer vacation next time, perhaps.
Good to come this year =X AFA08!!!!!
@zenical: no more moniesss
The Ferris Wheel picture reminds me of that scene in a certain Japanese drama I forget the name two. The one where she has a disease and can’t go out into the sun,so all of them go to a amusement park. The guy she is with doesn’t know of her disease,and they get stuck in the Ferris Wheel and the Ferris Wheel shuts down and their stuck it into dawn and it becomes the biggest crisis. I wonder what the name of that Drama called.
@Little Neko: Can’t help you with that, Little Neko, not too familiar with JDramas
