It could be an inconsistency or it could be intentional (with the book from the future appearing in the past). Then again, Yuzuki could have also been referring to the Buddhist scriptures from which Yukio Mishima drew some ideas.</description>

		<description>Great plot + theme synopsis. I&#039;m getting quite into this show and you seemed to have covered everything I can think of.

While the show takes place 1952 and afterwards, The Five Decays of a Heavenly Being was published in 1970. The fact that the book didn&#039;t exist at the time of the story is irrelevant, but it makes me curious as to why they specifically picked that year. In later episodes they seem to be quite meticulous about the date, always providing the year, month, and day, to which I question the reasoning behind.</description>
