Finally, a site update post!

twitter-ing. SRS BSNS.
I never quite understood the rationale behind having multiple twitter accounts (I first noticed this with Icy’s twittering escapade), until Impz announced the birth of the THAT merry bandwagon twitter, and everything just started to make sense! As you’ve noticed (or most likely not), I invaded the sidebar with my self-indulgent twitter-ing, which is, to say the least, a useless pile of crap that no one really bothers to read in the sidebar! I mean, would readers bother checking the site just to see the latest trivial happenings in my life, like a BLOODY paper cut event, for example? If I was just a casual reader who wants to know about animu/manga and couldn’t care any less about the blog author’s boring real life events, I sure won’t give a damn about that.
So, what better way to make the twitter sidebar more useful but to follow the footsteps of THAT, and transform it into a mini blog where the chefs can spit random blurbs on the animes they’re watching, mangas they’re reading, and on other otaku-ish/blogging endeavors! This way, it will be Scrumptious Blog-relevant, and allow me to separate my otaku/non-otaku persona for the sake of my RL friends on twitter who are not into anime too X__X Sorry for spamming your twitter updates with my nonsense babblings lol. You’ll get to see more of the chefs this way too (you might not see a blog update, but you’d most likely find a blurb there or two, will make sure we update it on a regular basis to keep you guys updated on what’s happening behind-the-blogging-scenes), especially our dear hamster chef Seleria who has become too lazy to post (she needs your encouragement, dear readers!! Show her that she has fans!
), but still has enough energy to watch animes and tweet blurbs about it. I’m still finding ways to make updating this easier, especially for my fellow chefs. Hopefully, absolute0 and BeLe can join us in this diabolical tweeting plan too. In case you missed the twitter link, it’s here.
Your feedbacks will be much appreciated! If you think the twitter sidebar still sucks, then tell us what you think we can do to improve it. Cheers!

Wait, what do you mean by “twittering escapade”
@IcyStorm: your “venture” into having multiple twitter accounts, that’s all there is to it
Oh! So the sidebar here is called twitter! I guess twitter is okay when you want to say something fast.
@Eri: the one in the sidebar just reflects the update we do with the associated twitter account. You can try it if you want
Oooooh, lol this is actually quite interesting move … My Tiger supports this sort of thing without the hack. If/when the mellow bunny posts about it, definitely check it up ^^
I don’t have any friends in real life, so my Twitter updates can be on anything I want!
Hmm…gives me something to think about how I utilize Twitter. While it’s also a little community in itself, the display is worth thinking about. I always figured it gave the site a touch of the personal – it’s hard to convey who I am through blog posts, unless I get into a journalistic mode.
@Ryan: ohh, interesting!! Will definitely keep an eye out on that! :3
@Shin: hey, we’re pretty real enough to be your “real life friends”
@Caitlin: I do agree that it gives a nice personal touch in the site, the problem comes in when we’re talking about team blogs, since the twitter sidebar simply serves as a window to one author’s ‘personal life’, in this case it was me lol. Figured I should make the site more relevant to the whole “team blog” personality
I’m still trying to figure twitter.
Oh gosh, I’m n00bish.
For random blurbs, I use plurk on my site to keep myself happy.
@Hyn: but twitter is easier to use than plurk! Well it’s less interactive, but I like the simplistic “linear” design
I am still thinking of the best way to utilize twitter and if it should be utilized at all, but that is an interesting addition to your blog
That Haruhi picture is cute
Singed up on twitter but I still don’t get what it means….
It’s totally confusing
I never noticed it 0.o until you mentioned it!! But it looks cool. I use to be addicted to twitter, for no odd reason. Now I’m more interested in plurk. actually not really, but oh-well. Your insane life might keep my insane life insane. ^-^
@Kitsune: if you’re comfortable with sharing bits about your personal life, then why not!
It allows you to get closer to your readers/blogging friends too
@spiralspade: hehe, well for starters, you might post a little blurb or update first, then look for people to
I’m sure you’ll get the hang of it soon
stalkfollow, so you’ll have this little “network”. You’ll get to see the updates of the people you follow, reply to them, etc. If they follow you, they’ll get to see your updates as well@Maura: I find plurk to be too “invasive” lol. Twitter is fun, and it’s good for blogging too (could be a source of inspiration? lol)!
