@Hynavian: aww, my pleasure!! I'm just happy that you became "converted" XD

"all in one buffet application", that's a nice way to put it! Oh and all I do in GR is follow feeds, make and share notes too, so I won't know of other features we're missing out on! XD

Merry Christmas!!!! Lots of prezzies from my relatives, hehe. Hope you had a great Christmas too! :D

Jen, thanks for helping me with google reader the other day. (:

It's a handy applicant (an all in one buffet application) where I can read gmail, follow the feed of others, make notes and share notes. Am I missing out on any of its other functions?

I've dropped Feed Demon for Google Reader since it's more convenient and I need not install any programs to use it. It's all online! :D

And not forgetting to wish you a very Merry Berry Christmas!
Party hard and may you get many awesome prezzies. *wink*

@blissmo: I would've been happier if instead of writing that lazy comment you actually checked this out and see what it really is. Saying "it's cool" when you can't be arsed to bother about sounds totally uncool.

@Caitlin: share your public feed! Wish I could add you on gtalk but I don't know your gmail address!

@Drm and N: feel free to check out <a href="http://yukan.dasaku.net/headline/a-tutorial-on-optimizing-your-reading/" rel="nofollow">lelangir's tutorial</a> on that XD

@Ryan: I still think you ignited the community spirit within me, or something XD

The Notes trackback sounds a really nifty idea, and I got to 'experience' one of such myself when you Noted one of my posts. It also serves to empower non-bloggers because they get to interact with blogs/sites as though they have one (with the Notes trackback). Though I have yet to meet a non-blogger who's into the whole animesphere community... hmm.

@Omisyth: pfft, where is thy community spirit?!

I am proponent D: lol, well actually my inspiration on noting was Ani-Noto, I just came to the realization that notes accomplish basically the same thing. And, lelangir didn't you read Jen's RSS Love post before this mini-revolution.

Also, I'm not sure about an application nor the recursive notes, but I guess subscribing to everyone's notes handles that. Originally I came out with a greasemonkey script for firefox which, upon noting something, hit a certain URL, and the server on the other end would parse the requester's last shared item, and attempt a ping/trackback. This is totally anonymous, so anyone's note can use it without registration.

The idea was to allow Notes to interact with an entry just as other blogs' entries interact when linked.

On my blog it doesn't appear that I have a link to my notes, but there are secret things happening ... of course my shared items appear in my feed mix blobs, but ... there are alternate feeds, and if one clicks the RSS icon in the firefox address bar, a few various items are there, including "Ryan on the Otakuken" (or my Shared Items).

Mine's public...no one cares though. :P Actually, I'm too lazy to update it often so it shows the same list for a while.
