…as my dear kouhai arrives from his Japan business trip, so does my Hana to Yume magazine with the SIZZLING HAWT Skip Beat Furoku!! *squeals in the corner* Consider this my obligatory “My Skip Beat Kokoro no Tamago is not dead yet!” post, as I am finally In The Zone to catch up with the ongoing anime, after getting stuck at episode 4 a few months ago orz. Pressures from blogging begone! I’d rather watch and love Skip Beat and not just follow it for the sake of blogging. Lazy excuse to not blog about Skip Beat regularly, but makes for a more enjoyable and worthwhile experience for me ^__^ I would go on a Skip Beat crusade if I can, far more than what I did to Toshokan Sensou before, because it’s that GOOOD. Great and Awesome, rather. But I fail, so all I can do is preach in this blog sporadically and nothing else! I’m not assuring you that you’ll love it, but do give it a try nonetheless. Those who are in it for the romance might find it a little disappointing, but those who want to watch something brimming with energy and make them feel as if they can RULE ZA WARUDO will most likely enjoy it.

Signing up for the Love Me Section!
This might seem like a pointless post, but for me it isn’t… this is a sign that my Fangirl Self is still alive as ever! White Album is bad for my fangirl health seriously, it fills me with rage rather than LOVE, totally DO NOT WANT T___T White Album is like the antithesis of Skip Beat, the very reason why I feel like dropping it and just go Skip Beat all the way! I do love discussing White Album and all, especially with the Great Commentators who have far more worthy things to say than I do, and from whom I learned a whole lot, but… I have to sort out my priorities, and for now, I vote it out. If anything, White Album made me realize that I can watch dramas in that vein ‘properly’ now — not too absorbed, able to keep a distance so as to not let the characters get into my nerves so much. It made me want to revisit KimiNozo, one of the few series I loathed and hated to the guts. But I digress. I’ll focus on Skip Beat and be filled with LOVE~!
Hopefully, I’ll be able to make a proper Skip Beat post… someday.

white album sucks..hmmm…maybe i should try this skip beat thing..
The furoku is fricking awesome. Also I have new favorite RenxKyoko picture.
Skip Beat awesomeness doesn’t lie in the romance, but rather the individuals trying to find themselves in the unforgiving world of show business. It’s probably my 2nd favorite manga series ever and even though the anime isn’t quite as good I still love it.
I’m so damn envious!!! I love both Kyoko and Ren in that poster!! They are so~ hot!! Kyoko is my favorite shoujo girl. And I agree if you are waiting a stupid comedy or teary love, Skip Beat! is not for you. But If you want to enjoy a totally cute, pure yet awesome and smart girl and her journey to find herself, You should watch this! Kyoko-sama
(the fangirl has finally lost it:P)
Oh gawd. You got the “Natsu”Kyoko x Ren poster. *so jealous*
And everyone should at least give Skip Beat a try. It’s a shoujo that can surpass shoujo! Or something. Which is why fans of pure shoujo or romance might not like it as much. But it is AWESOME nonetheless.
But yeah I dropped White Album (a while ago) for the same reason. Fangirl love over “Everyone’s being an idiot!!!!” rage. Right now I’m all about my fangirling series. (Skip Beat anime got the the Dark Moon arc~ Yay~)
Is joining me on a Skip Beat! crusade so offensive to your sensibilities?
I know you don’t want to be a blogging kamerad for Skip Beat! but could you at least find it in your heart to post a bigger picture of Furoku? Don’t be mean bigger pic NAO!
I can see how a gentle soul like you would drop White Album, but for me I do enjoy watching this downward spiral continue
rite a rael post nao. Skip Beat is awesome (and insidious – as it’s part of the slow corrosion of my anime fan-taste into the fujoshi realm).
@animekritik: YES! GO WATCH IT NAO!
It’s far unlike anything “shoujo” you’ve seen!
@warriorhope: well said, and more than just people “finding themselves in showbiz”, it’s like how they find themselves both in and out of showbiz, apart from all the acting and whatnot — their Hontou no Jibun!
@irem: yeah, witness Kyoko-sama and her great feats!
@FuyuMaiden: How I wish it was a poster!
It’s just a manga cover, but good enough!
And *ahem* gentle soul you say? I’d consider that a compliment
@Crusader: lol, will scan that… hopefully this weekend! Would love to have the blow-up size printed as a poster
@ghostlightning: roflmao. Don’t say that! It’s part of the ‘broadening/refinement of your animu tastes!!!’
Is it just me or is it easier to do a more coherent post on a series you hate than one you love? (Probably just me)
@issa-sa: it depends! I’d rather see myself posting about the series I love than the ones I hate though D:
I think I’m mostly still watching White Album just because I like to RAGE about it so much. I suppose that’s not really a good thing
(but it’s fun!) My recent second viewing of KimiNozo was much of the same; I did however appreciate Ayu and Mayu-Mayu’s antics a lot more, and knowing what was going to happen relaxed me, if only a little.
I am also stuck in Skip Beat! Maybe I’ll catch up over my spring break; I do adore the manga
You are a nerd
@Senna: well if RAGE-ing is fun for you, then there’s nothing I can do with that
Do catch up with Skip Beat! It’s better to watch it without being nitpicky about the “adaptation”, I think it’s doing great as it is ^^
@ventril: and you think saying makes you any better?
