Pretty nice haul for a last minute akiba excursion ^^ My first time in akiba was also during a business trip... but I spent all of like... an hour there, bought practically nothing orz Didn't help that I was with decidedly a non-otaku coworker either ^^;;

I'm a very slow shopper so being in the same situation, my instinct is to freeze up and not buy much -_-;;

hope you can plan a couple more akiba days into your next trip... still so many more stores to see ^___^

I can't believe they're still selling the Basara artbooks! I mean, I ♥ Basara just as much as you do, so I'm super glad that they're still in circulation.

Reading your account of going into Animate and Mandarake reminded me of what I *reacted* when I went there myself. It was probably easier to just grab a basket and take everything in sight than to restrain myself on what few things I really wanted to buy.

"How do you think you guys would have fared if you were in my situation? Would you have spent MOAR, or Less?"

I'll find out soon enough, won't I? ;)

I may end up spending less, mainly on account of my limited budget (ah, budgets - the bane of every true anime enthusiast!) and also because I've set aside only a small chunk of my valuable tourist time for shopping.

Then again, when you're standing in the middle of Akiba with stores dispensing every type of anime merchandise imaginable leaning over you from every direction, the word "budget" is probably the first to fly straight out the window.

(By the way, is it enough to simply walk down Chuo-doori in order to come into contact with most of the major stores? My plan is to do just that, with a quick side-trip to AsoBit City in one of the side streets.)

@Ryan: Thank you for reading! And yeah, I ought to make notes... Laziness just gets the better of me orz. Next time I (re)read it, I'll make sure to do so along the way.

@hayase: I did bring a limited amount of money, but damn this credit card of mine, I ended up overspending because I had it :cry:

>>But anyways, just share about your impulsive tendencies, so we can like form a support group or something, and so that I won’t feel as bad for my unplanned expenses

I’m sorry but I have to tell you this–if you actually get to stay longer next time you might end up buying lots more

Anyway, just bring a limited amount of money so that you can limit your expenses. It’s hard to keep in check the buying impulse, but luckily for me there wasn’t much stuff from my favorite anime so I think I was saved a little.

Awe! Fuck, I wish I had this sort of activity in my life.

I can't believe you spent so much on the super cute things... or wait, yea I can, lol. Cute things FTW. Honestly, I have no clue how much I'd spend, since I'm a casual shopper, not very impulsive, but with a time crunch... that could be a disastrous mix XD

I have no clue about this Basara, but if you want to write a proper post, but don't think you will, why not start by taking little random notes when you interact with it. Eventually you'll have a some good blurbs to create something with. That's mostly why I do reflecting [and recently context-centric microblogging] (with context, titles can be viewed for a single series, without random searching).

Thanks for the exciting read... SHOPPING! haha
