I enjoy it because the show tries to make it seem like pedophilia is okay if it's yuri. No, seriously. :P

The ratio between lovers who enjoy this series to haters who won’t touch it with a 10yard pole is vastly unequal and it’s a shame.

Yeah. I haven’t really read more than like two blogs posts that actually said that they like the series compared to all the other posts that say that they don’t like it. I think it’s alright. Not bad, not necessarily good either. I do like that they actually show a yuri couple that’s gotten together and are happy with each other, since that isn’t something you see every day. If only Kana was a little more capable with whatever she was doing. :v

@hashihime: oh I used "fluff" rather loosely there, was thinking of "strawberry marshmallow" fuwa fuwa fluffy and sweet, guess that's not the best term to represent what I really wanted to say... my bad ^^;

I've heard about the musical in Kanamemo episode 4, and to be honest, it intrigues me. Makes me wonder if I jumped the gun too soon-- for now, I shall stick to my opinion, until the day comes that I'd find myself warming up for this.

@ghostlightning: and let the earthquake eat up 'em bad loli-gropers yeah

@deathkillz: I know I'm not helping your cause at all with this post, but ehh... it's really hard to convince people to like this, it's like an acquired taste. As you've said, shows like this is a hit or miss -- and only time will tell if the naysayers end up eating their own words -- me included of course :P

Retarded? Them's fighting words you got there!

Kanamemo is actually quite intended to be "IN YOUR FACE" with their gags so it is very much a "hit or miss" for anyone. Together with the fact that it has Yuri gags, whilst I hold no grudge towards anything Yuri, other fans out there feels that it is a bit of a turn off just because the series incorporates said genre. Truthfully it hasn't affected me at all how the story is told and all the better, because the slap stick comedy and mini explosions are right to my tastes.

That said, there are a lot more "haters" than "lovers" for the series which is saddening. The ratio between lovers who enjoy this series to haters who won't touch it with a 10yard pole is vastly unequal and it's a shame.

(ooh, cute emotes 8)).

I don't share your opinion about this show, but if you think your post is "vitriol," you're a wonderful person. I got all the way through without being upset once.

Kanamemo, to me, is both hilarious and wonderfully touching. Sure, it's full of stereotypes. Sure, it's trying to appeal to specific audiences. But so was Charles Dickens. It's all in how it's done. And the mini-musical in ep4 shows how inventively they're doing it.

By the way, the one thing that did get my hackles up a bit was referring to Ichigo Mashimaro as "heartwarming slice-of-life moe fluff." Heartwarming slice of life, sure. Moe, sure. But not fluff at all. The funniest and deepest humor in any anime, for me. But chacun a son sense of humor.
