I agree. It doesn’t actually bother me in the long run if it actually contributes to the show. But it still makes me sad nonetheless.

Don’t listen to my theories about Clannad, I actually don’t know much about that story. It’s just most Kyoto Animation shows like this tend to bring emotion.

Actually, I like when shows invoke emotion for a change. Even sadness. Searching For the Full Moon (I want to cry just thinking about that ending– when Meroko turned into a– ah! *cries*), Kanon 2006 (I did cry when a certain someone got sick, personal experience made that hit a little close to home), etc.

Then there’s shows that add death drama for the sake of drama – that’s annoying. My little sister is still angry that her favorite character died in Samurai 7. Stupid friendly fire. But if over-drama annoys me, why do I plan to watch Code Geass? xP

Nah, Code Geass is pretty tame. It’s shows like AIR that I will never watch. Ever. I approve of invoking emotion, but I don’t need my heart ripped out and left to die. I don’t watch anime to reexperience realistic pain.

Character deaths don’t sit well with me either, not unless it contributes to plot and/or character development, though I’ll still go on a little bit of RAEGGG mode before accepting what’s done is done. I don’t think anyone dies in Clannad? Or… I hope, haven’t watched it myself @__@

If you look closely, yuuki’s still making a shadow. He probably jumped into a chalk pit or something, which is why he’s all whitey.

Ah well, I guess we’d better start warming up to the annoying big sister. No point in dumping the series just because they’ve written off the puppy.

I’m not particularly looking forward to the next ep – hmm, probably the first time I’ve said that since TM8.0 first started airing – but I’d be glad to know for certain whether or not our legs are being pulled.
