KimiKiss pure rouge Episode 5 - jump up

Will music (or the lack of it) ruin my romance with Kai?!
We’ve got some pretty nice relationship developments in this episode, as well as some surprising and scary(?) discovery regarding the kind of romance stories Yuumi likes. I do hope this series is not going down the dark path and just added that for some comic relief, because if Yuumi’s preference these stories is a serious implication of her true psychological mentality… O___O

This is Erokawaii.
Some of you are probably wondering why many people, especially the KimiKiss game fans, hate the anime so much. I think the main reason behind this is the lack of ecchiness, or rather, the erokawaii (erotic and cute) factor that many of the fans liked in the game/manga/novel/etc. I briefly mentioned some of the differences I’ve seen based on the first episode, but I wasn’t able to tackle the in-depth changes they made. So now, allow me to delve into these differences. I’ll be deep frying Eriko, Asuka and Mao in this segment (and perhaps bash Kouichi in the process ^^;;) Oh, and I think I’m going to provide a little spoiler for Mitsuki as well. I am basing my claims on the manga and the novels, which I assume is faithful to the game adaptation. Do correct me if I’m wrong in any way.
Whether you’re going to hate or like the anime after this, it’s all up to you. I think you have to play the game and be engrossed in its erokawaiiness (like “KimiKiss won’t be KimiKiss without the ecchi factor!” kind of thing) before you’ll get to hate the anime though. I believe you guys already know my standpoint regarding this, if you’ve read most of my episode reviews. Do take note that I’m not quite the type who delights much in fanservice, and fanservice alone. Just so you know my bias
Another word of warning, this is quite a LENGTHY post. Unless you’ve already been used to my loooong posts :p

Kiss before the kick. Eww o_O?
Finally! An Asuka-centric episode! It was great that this episode allowed us to take a closer look at this soccer zealot girl, whose passion for the sport is really admirable. Similar to Kai, she’s already set on her dreams, to become a professional soccer player. It was evident in this episode that she’ll most likely influence Kazuki in becoming passionate about something and make him snap out of his indecisiveness to go all-out in confronting Eriko again. We’ll actually see Kazuki make this decision in the next episode, based on the preview.

KimiKiss pure rouge Episode 3 – book mark
The focus of the episode was on our hopeless dopey couple Kouichi and Yuumi, whose relationship has found hope thanks to Mao. The pacing was slow and sweet, leaving much room for the development of the romance between the two. I am really thankful that the anime is diverting from the Kouichi x Yuumi story I read of the novel, where the “development” was really ugh! shallow. With that, do expect a little deep frying stuffed in my thoughts for the episode.

KimiKiss pure rouge Episode 2 – cool beauty

“He remembered my name :)” cute :3
I think I’m gonna divert from my usual summary & thoughts post for KimiKiss, since the subs come out pretty quick, and the story isn’t really all that complicated to require further enlightenment. Suteki Tantei Labyrinth will probably need that, not because it needs “light” (heck it already has MUCH of it), but because not much people is giving it <3. There are also a number of blogs out there who’s blogging this show, and I’m one of the uber delayed ones, so… LOL. I’m not gonna waste my efforts putting up summary which no one will read anyways :p

Yuumi and Narumi~
Got some info from the latest Newtype that came out, which lists down a month-long worth of teaser summaries for upcoming episodes of most, if not all, airing animes. That of course, includes KimiKiss. With this, I decided to share the little bit of this info, for you guys to see a glimpse of what direction this anime is taking. A viable and true fact at that, compared to my little love prediction :p
Prepare to be spoiled~!

KimiKiss Pure Rouge Episode 1 – Meet Again
![]()
KimiKiss finally makes its premiere, and as an avid reader of the manga (ever since, a few weeks ago), I was looking forward to how this dating sim will be brought to life by J.C.Staff. All I can say after watching this first episode, is that I AM HOOKED. If you loved Boys Be and Honey and Clover, I’m pretty sure you’ll love this as well~ I know it sounds too early to sound for me to say all these, but seeing this episode, how it was well written and directed, and how much it fared better compared to the manga and the novel (and well, the game overall), I am confident that this will turn out to be a great tale of romance (and memories? :P). Generic and boring as others might see it compared to Honey and Clover, I still have high hopes for this show
