It’s been a looong time since I posted a ‘formal’ deep frying post… and this one wasn’t actually intended to be a separate post. But, things got out of hand and the thoughts / commentaries I had for the episode will end up too cluttering if I include this lengthy deep frying. Hints and tidbits of what to expect in this deep frying session have been briefly mentioned in my episode 22 summary, so sit back and relax.. and enjoy :3

Kaze no Stigma Episode 22 – Determination and Hesitation

The title certainly speaks of Ayano’s feelings throughout the episode. Filled with much hesitation that she can go against Kazuma, it took some prodding from Kirika and Catherine for her to realize that there’s a ‘bond’ between her and Kazuma. And with this little glimp of hope, she gains the determination to face him and bring him back. As Lapis also mentioned in this episode, “the fun is just about to begin…”

Having started serialization in the monthly manga phonebook Dragon Jr since April, Kaze no Stigma has finally been published in its tankoubon form! So, fans, rejoice! It’s in Japanese, I know… but I don’t think that should stop you from buying this. After all, the eye candies in the manga speaks louder than words

Kaze no Stigma Episode 21 - The Berserk Wind User

Duels between high ranking players abound the streets of Tokyo, as these “chosen ones” in the MMORPG world of Pandemonium desire to level-up and become “seeds”. Kazuma plays along with Wernhard’s little game, and takes out each of these seeds one by one, taking drastic measures to get the information he needs from them. Ayano can’t believe that Kazuma’s capable of doing these things, and sees just how much he changed simply because of his remorse for Tsuoi Rin. Kirika reveals how this is the Kazuma he knew before, and believes that there’s no one else but Ayano who can bring him back to normal.

Kaze no Stigma Episode 20 – Traces of Jade Green

Kazuma’s past is finally revealed in this episode, as we see a glimpse of the life he had when he still wasn’t a contractor. He continues to be haunted by this past, which brings about the awakening of this deep hatred and grudge that still lies within the depths of his soul. This is yet another episode filled with much intensity, and certainly something you won’t have to miss!

My thoughts for this one grew really looong, because of this sort of Ayano vs Tsuoi Rin stuff I blurted out ^^;;;

Kaze no Stigma Episode 19 - Pandemonium

A meeting is being held at the Kannagi residence, unaware of Ren’s disappearance which happened right about that time. Kazuma arrives late and Ayano insults him for the blunder he did (letting ‘Hell Hound’ get away), which Kazuma surprisingly accepts without much complaints. The Special Investigation Unit is currently dealing with the rise of people having supernatural powers lately (involved in some kind of ‘game’). Kirika explains that the target victims are middle school to high school students, who are endowed with promiscuous powers upon reaching the site known as ‘Pandemonium’.

Kaze no Stigma Episode 18 - Tokyo RPG

From where the previous episode left off, Kazuma sees a girl with a striking resemblance to Tsuoi Rin, making him once again remember the tragic incident that happened in his past. He runs after the girl but loses track of her, at the same time allowing the criminal from earlier escape.

Kaze no Stigma Episode 17 - The Way to Defeat a Magician

Kaze no Stigma finally gets back to the main arc of the story, after a series of butchering filler / short story episodes… presenting us this introductory episode to this climactic arc of KnS. In this episode, images of a computer screen with the message “Do you long for power?” have been shown at the start and throughout this episode, showing how it has a central role in this arc, but that will still have to be revealed in the later episodes.

Kaze no Stigma Episode 16 – Father and Son

Many people have been wondering what has happened to Genma ever since he’s been hospitalized… well, he finally got out and decided to take a break and relax in the onsen. He coincidentally goes with Kirika, for reasons not really disclosed. Soushu who wasn’t aware of Genma’s onsen plans schemes yet another plot to get Ayano and Kazuma together, imagining their vivid and steamy ‘love scene’ as well. Yukari and Nanase together with Ren gets dragged into this plan, which he thought will be fool-proof. That is, until he finds out that it might end up being a father and son clash, as Genma will be going to the same onsen as well.
