Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu has gone past that dramatic arc that was episode 3, but still, I’m loving it. I’ve heard many people (guys and girls like) say that it makes them go “Kyaa~!” or “Awww” with each episode, and I couldn’t agree more. The big grin on my face every time I watch this series serves as the ultimate proof of that. Yuuto and Haruka’s rabu rabu is just too sweet and cute for words. It’s cliché, says the wise anime sages, but it’s good cliché fluff that actually breaks the stereotypical harem genre mold in which it was placed under.

It took me quite a while to churn out another Neo Angelique writeup, all because I felt guilty after poking fun at this series in my previous posts. Not only did I insult this anime with my sarcastic comments, I also scared off guys who I should’ve helped become more open-minded about this under-appreciated show. My sarcasm basically clouded the rest of the serious opinion I had for the series, and it makes me ashamed of having churned out that kind of post. This show deserves far more than that kind of bastardization, it needs MOAR LOVE, and so I took the time to do some soul-searching with regards to what I’m gonna write, not just another uninspiring LOL kind that I have written in the past.

Hinano has pretty much summed up what the whole chunk of the latest two chapters are, so I think I’m just gonna go emo and say my thoughts over the latest revelation about Ikuto’s past.

While I’m still in a Toshokan Sensou novel reading slump mode, it looks like a group of enthusiastic TS fans finally decided to join forces and translate the awesome novels for other fans and cynics to see. Thanks to AniSuki member Kakulukiam for the heads up, otherwise I wouldn’t have known about this project which started out a month ago. Now you guys can read it and see the true Library War for yourself~ :3

If the Shugo Charas are all alive and kicking IRL, they’d probably show up right in front the SC fans and call a ‘halt!’ (or a screechy ‘waitooooo!!’ from Iru) to the dorama happening in this fandom. My thoughts on this can be summed up with this one little question: Why So Serious? But you know I won’t stop there.

It feels like years since I last posted about Library War, and I guess I owe the fans out there some good ol’ dose of more TS pimpin’
I know this will raise the eyebrows of the likes of blissmo, among other non-TS fans, but oh well~
You might be wondering why I haven’t posted any Toshokan Sensou deep frying posts in months. Well, there’s actually a pretty good reason behind this, and it goes beyond my usual alibi of being busy and not having enough time. I stopped reading the Toshokan Sensou novels, for a month or so now *hears gasps* It’s all because of the upcoming grueling JLPT1 exam, which I’ll be taking this coming December. Since this is less than 4 months away, I figured it’d be best to get my lazy arse off to actually study the required grammar patterns and kanji vocabs for the exam, because well, time waits for no one

…to make you strive to continue on following a show. Yes, I’m looking at you, World Destruction.
Whenever I think of whether to continue following World Destruction, I end up watching Nodame Cantabile instead, the anime with mascots and splendid music (and story) too. Juxtaposed side-by-side each other, obviously, World Destruction is no match against Nodame Cantabile, unless we’re talking about pure silliness and randomness and mascot cuteness in these two shows.

I was still on the verge of deciding whether follow this series, and episode 3 officially seals the deal for me. The more I watch this anime, the more I see myself in the closet otaku Haruka. She constantly reminds me of my past, present, and probably my would-be future otaku self. Her bitter experience of being shunned for her otaku hobby might have been portrayed to be a little extreme, but it really happens. I’d say it actually happened to me, in a less dramatic the entire school shuns me for being an otaku way, and more of the subtle ‘shunning’ treatment stereotyping ways.

The first time I watched Toki o Kakeru Shoujo dates back to approximately 8 months ago, and the reason why I never mentioned about it in the blog is because I never found it to be anything special. Seleria raved about how she loved the movie (personally, not in the blog, sadly T_T) and I never really understood how she felt, until my second rewatch of Tokikake on the big screen, where I found myself falling in love with the movie, for the very first time.

Thanks to a renewed slice-of-life mindset, I have come to enjoy Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu ~Natsu no Sora~ and other slice-of-life shows much more than before
