[Snapshots] Mogami Kyoko: The Girl of a Thousand Faces

One thing people will find most noteworthy about Skip Beat is the goddess heroine Kyoko and her versatility as a character. Without doubt, Kyoko has got to be the most expressive character you’ll ever see in the manga/anime world, if the above screencaps don’t serve enough proof of that. Opinions regarding Skip Beat’s (and Kyoko’s) awesomeness or depth might differ from person to person (I know for a fact that my ability to relate with Skip Beat is far beyond normal), but this is one thing we can all agree with.

The End is Near

The end of Skip Beat, that is, and the above pic captures exactly how I feel right at this moment. I neglected watching Skip Beat a few months back, and now that I almost caught up… it’s nearing its end. NOooOOoOooo!!!! The Dark Moon is not over yet! And I want to see Ren’s awesome dad in full animated glory! And and… so much more!! I don’t want it to end yet TT____TT Where’s my season 2?? Where’s my goddamn rumored 41 eps?! This is almost like how I felt when Ouran ended, but since my relationship with Skip Beat is far more personal, this one hurts even more.

To the End of Toradora

The end is here and the Dearly Retarded sends out one more letter to Toradora, for her own sanity and closure.

The Uber Late Kure-nai Anime vs. Novel ‘Deep Frying’ Part 1

A post months in the making, that’s what this is. This, my friends, is the very example of totally uber-slow blogging. Please don’t try this at home, or wherever. Still, I’m more than glad to *finally* have this out of the backlogged post queue! Oh and those who are new to this blog, this “Deep Frying” is something my brilliant co-blogger Seleria and I thought of doing way back our suicidal episodic blogging days, as we take a look at the anime and its source material, and basically do an episodic in-depth analysis of some sort, despite the lack of depth.

Hawt Skip Beat Furoku GET! (Fangirl Self Revival GET!)

…as my dear kouhai arrives from his business trip to Japan, so does my Hana to Yume magazine with the SIZZLING HAWT Skip Beat Furoku!! *squeals in the corner* Consider this my obligatory “My Skip Beat Kokoro no Tamago is not dead yet!” post, as I am finally In The Zone to catch up with the ongoing anime, after getting stuck at episode 4 a few months ago orz. Pressures from blogging begone! I’d rather watch and love Skip Beat and not just follow it for the sake of blogging. Lazy excuse to not blog about Skip Beat regularly, but makes for a more enjoyable and worthwhile experience for me ^__^

To Taiga and Friends(?)

The bomb that is episode 21 has come upon us and the girls continue to run the show. The dynamics have shifted and I can only wonder how this will all end. I don’t know if it’s going to be pretty, but it’s going to be one hell of a ride.

To All the ToraDora Girls I’ve Loved Before

toradora_girls

After episode 20, the dearly retarded gets down with the girls of ToraDora for some hurt to hurt talk. This is tongue-in-chick or tongue-in-chic, which ever bad pun works for you.

To ToraDora with Love: Letters from the Dearly Retarded

Toradora is one of my favorite running shows right now, the other being Skip Beat!. I love the drama and the mix of crack. After my latest dose of Toradora though (episode 19), I have to ask out of frustration: Why is everybody a bloody martyr!?!
This is not meant to be taken seriously.

The Bastardization of Gurren Lagann, and uhm, Sailor Man

Too much dorama from White Album is driving me crazy, so I figured it would be best to take a random little “break”, we all deserve it.

White Album 04-05: This is Why We Can Have NICE BOAT

You know there’s something wrong when, before the guy gets down with the lover he’s [supposedly] been missing for months, freshening up in the shower preparing for the Big Event, his mind is wandering elsewhere. Good thing their love making session didn’t push through, otherwise Touya probably would’ve muttered someone else’s name, unconsciously.
