w00t!!!
Things have now become peaceful as the Black Diamond saga has come to a close, but of course we all know that the Easter is still at large. So long as the Embryo lives, the Easter will live to search for it. Now in this chapter, we see a glimpse of the Easter’s Big Bad Boss who’s behind all the Egg hunting activities in town, addressed by the name of “Gozen”. His identity is still a mystery at this point, so I have no clue as to who this person is. I had this wild guess that this person is the Guardian’s First King, but that would seem absurd since The First K is all friendly towards Ikuto. And it’s not like Gozen is wearing a mask to conceal his identity… or is he? Oh well enough of that first
Let’s allow Peach Pit to work his unveilment magic!

So what do the stars of fate say about the future of Amu x Ikuto?! Just the mention of that made me all giddy with glee
Ok, so allow me to fangirl as all heavens broke loose when I got to see this mini preview of the next Shugo Chara chapter coming out in Nakayoshi, which is like less than a week away from being released! 8D I owe a big thanks to ShiningNinja for the heads up on this one. Now Amu x Ikuto fans can finally have something _solid_ to look forward to! I know a certain fangirl will be happy to hear this
Shugo Chara DS Game
As I am still in the process of finishing my thoughts and babbling on KimiKiss episode 14 (gawd I think too much x__x), I’m gonna take a short break and plug about this COOL and SPICY news first.
Given the popularity of Shugo Chara in Japan (and in all other countries across the globe, for that matter), it is of no surprise that we’ll finally be seeing a Shugo Chara game for the DS, this coming March 13, 2008. I’ve already mentioned about this possibility, way back November, and I think my “wish” was more or less, fulfilled. Quoting what I said, in my Shugo Chara Hype post:
“Aside from these novelty items, I can already see a Shugo Chara console game coming out sometime soon from Konami, hopefully an RPG-ish otome game =P”
After more than a volume-worth of chapters (8 chapters if I’m not mistaken), Dia is reunited with Amu!
I’m just glad this wasn’t dragged on for too long, and we see the explanation as to why she refused to recognize Amu as her owner. I wonder if there’s gonna be a surprise in the next chapter, considering the Card Suits of Amu’s Shugo Charas have now been completed. We might just see the Embryo soon, though there are still a lot about Ikuto and Utau’s past left to be revealed.
As usual, BEWARE of SPOILARZ
In behalf of Shugo Chara episode 12 (and even 13 for that matter) I bring you the latest two installments to its COOL and SPICY manga instead (I’ll just separate the two). With the recent turn of events in the anime (or the lack thereof), I think I’ll be dropping my regular blogging for Shugo Chara, at least not until something interesting kicks in, once they finally show the missing interesting bits and pieces of the manga. The animu is evilll… it turned me into an evil bunny who provides SPOILARz. >3
I actually think I’ll be better off providing spoilers instead. Might as well put my Nakayoshi into good use as I recently started subscribing to it >3
First, some alibis regarding the lack of blog updates. So last week was the office Christmas rush, busy with preparations for our [formal] company Christmas party held last December 15. But since the people in the office are such fun-loving people, the party didn’t stop at that. We had yet another party just this Friday, an “in house” Christmas party this time, loaded with fun-filled activities—a white elephant gift exchange, karaoke, Pictionary and charades tournament, and most importantly… a Wii-party!!
Throughout the week, I spent most of my free time at home playing, so Wii could get to know each other better. It’s even more fun (and distracting?) when you get to know the Wii-mates in the office, who suddenly graced your little baby with a lot of games~
In other words, the Wii (and of course my lack of self-control) is to blame for the MIA status of the blog in the span of a few days, causing me more backlogs orz. I think the Christmas Countdown will now be a countdown to the New Year’s, unless I manage to pull off two or three posts a day in the coming days~
Enough introductions and onto Shugo Chara episode 11 (aka the episode last week):
This episode is loads fun~ :3 This has got to be the episode which remained most true to the chapter it was based on, unlike the other ones which were either complete fillers, or drastically changed. The original story was adapted for the winter holiday season, so in lieu of the summer beach elements, we see skiing, ice sculptures, and multi-layered clothing (which might have disappointed fans who were looking for more skin.). We just didn’t get to see this one brief moment with Amu remembering Ikuto’s dumpty key, because she still hasn’t seen it yet.

The “climax” of the Amu x Ikuto scene, followed by an anticlimax… =__=”’
So we finally have more Ikuto screentime in this episode. Hurray? Not quite so. I was about to scream in delight in Ikuto’s surprise visit scene, only to end up sighing in sadness, for the moment was cut short. We miss the smutty Ikuto! >___< The animators already took the painstaking(?) effort to have him visit Amu, so how come they didn’t make the most out of the moment?! :| Ok, time to stop being tsuntsun and go back to my rational self.

Ami ish proud of her poser oneechan!
Took me some time to finish this because it’s been busy in the office, with work and some extracurricular Christmas activities :3
Before I go on babbling about this episode of Shugo Chara, allow me to share a few words about my JLPT tale. Fear not for what I’m about to impart is not a JLPT horror story, but rather something Shugo Chara-filled, so it’s not really off topic :p
Let’s just say I felt the presence of Shugo Chara while I was taking the exam, particularly in the first reading / comprehension item, which had “なりたい自己/自分” (naritai jiko/jibun – wannabe or would-be self) written all over it. It didn’t involve any eggs however; it just told of the writer’s realization, about how studying—
through experiencing and witnessing different things, not simply within the four walls of the classroom—is a means for people to broaden their horizons and perspective in life, allowing them to discover their wannabe/would-be selves in the process. So Shugo Chara-like
Since I kept myself from watching this episode the day before the exam, I thought that this must be my Shugo Chara’s way of telling me to go chara-change into my Shugo Chara-loving self once again loooool. It was really funny I kept myself from laughing so hard
Owen said I should’ve done the “Watashi no Kokoro, UNLOCK!” chant, and I guess I just did, at the back of my mind =P God knows I would’ve been disqualified from the exam if I followed the footsteps of a certain shameless kimoota.
The results of the exam won’t be out till late February or March, and at this point, I can slack off from studying the hardcore way (using the good ol’ Kanzen reviewer), in light of the natural method of learning I’ve always enjoyed - animu/manga/novel/jpop/games =P My listening really need further brushing up… so much for my lack of anime/dorama exposure since last year.
Yush, on to the show~ :3
Shugo Chara Episode 8 - 「君の瞳に恋してるっ!」(I Fell in Love With Your Eyes)

It’s the LOVE SUN! LOL
The true SPICE girl Misaki appears in this episode, teaming up with the COOL and SPICY Amu for the quest to win Prince Tadase’s heart, despite being rivals in love~ This girl is overflowing with cheerfulness and optimism that Amu gets infected by her genkiness, as she tags along her plans. Unlike Amu who knows nothing about her beloved prince, Misaki knows Tadase’s complete profile, aside from his Shugo Chara persona. We also find out that there’s a Tadase fanclub in their school, a Hibari Four-like gang, headed by the obnoxious Saya Yamabuki.
