Synopsis: In 1980, Isaac and Miria took the Genoard family fortune.

Bah! Baccano! is over by now. I delayed doing a post for this episode because it features Isaac and Miria. i don’t like them. Perhaps this episode is my least liked episode too.
Anyway, the police and FBI are pursuing the suspects of serial robberies in several states. The number of cases has risen to 110. Pictures of the robbers are shown. They are Isaac and Miria. Seeing their pictures, someone asks why the they haven’t arrested the robbers. Mr. Sullivan from the FBI explains that the pictures were taken by citizens intrigued by the robber’s curious costumes. The citizens didn’t know the pair were robbery suspects until after they have taken the pictures. Before. their crimes had been too petty. The stole things like clocks, chocolates, candies, and a museum door once. Recently, however, they stole the assets of New Jersey’s millionaire family, the Genoards.

Synopsis: Dallas asks the Gandors to help him exact his revenge on Firo but is denied, Eve is kidnapped by Gustavo, and Ennis finds Dallas.

Nicholas and Elean, the guy who attended to Eve, are in the director’s office. Word of how Nicholas appeased Gustavo by telling him of Dallas’ sister has reached the director. He doesn’t seem pleased. Nicholas explains that he was threatened and Gustavo Bagetta’s power would be too much for him. Afraid that he’d be killed, Nicholas says he accidentally told Gustavo of Eve (It didn’t look accidental to me though). Elean tells Nicholas that it’s no reason to say things that would put Eve in danger. Nicholas says he understands that it’s no excuse. He says he has taken the proper measures. The director tells him that even if he thinks his life may be in danger, he doesn’t agree with the idea of using the little girl to get out of the situation. He says, like Elean, he can’t sympathize with Nicholas. He then tells Nicholas to take responsibility for his actions.

Synopsis: Eve searches for her brother Dallas, Firo is about to be welcomed to the camorra, and the Rail Tracer catches up with the train.

Now that I have caught up with my Seirei no Moribito and Mononoke backlog, it’s time to work on my Baccano! backlog. The episodes just lay in my hard disk, unwatched. Thankfully, the series isn’t over yet so my backlog isn’t that big.

Synopsis: Isaac and Miria depart for New York aboard the Flying Pussyfoot. Several people have agenda connected to the train as well.

The Flying Pussyfoot is a transcontinental train that travels from Chicago to New York. An old woman, who is supposed to board the train, decides against it, saying that bad things are going to happen, a premonition to the tragic incident which Gustav of Daily Days mentioned in the first episode.

Synopsis: Carole, assistant to Daily Day’s Gustav Saint-Germain investigates about a series of stories that started in November 1930.

Baccano! is Italian for “noise”. According to the author of the novels from which the series was based on, he wanted it to mean “stupid commotion”. True enough, the first episode is dissonant and incoherent. After finishing it you can’t help but ask yourself what it was all about.
