You know something’s up when I post this early, when I go out of my way looking for a way to watch this in the office because the raw got released while I was asleep! As such, the screencaps are all crappy, bear with it till I get the actual raws.

Ok, so Itazura na Kiss aired just a few days ago and many people are complaining about its crappy artwork. It just makes me sigh. Young’ns nowadays don’t know how to appreciate good oldschool 80’s or 90’s shoujo art. Tsk. I might sound old, but I assure you, I am not!
As a shoujo manga/anime lover, I absolutely enjoyed the Itazura na Kiss anime. I FREAKIN LURVVVED IT TO BITS! It might not have the same charm as Ouran Koukou, but its simplicity, slice-of-life feel and shoujo fluff romance comedy aspects (especially the normal optimistic girl x badass tsundere guy predicament) were enough to draw me in. Shoujo fluff, I missed you~!! This is the perfect way to take a break from the emo ride of KimiKiss and True Tears! \o/

Synopsis: Komori Tarou is having recurrent dreams. He thinks the dreams have something to do with an incident that happened eleven years ago.

In a dream, a girl, who seems to be dead, is shown. A fly alights on the girl’s lips. The scene changes to show another girl climbing up a stair towards some shrine. She notices that she is being watched. She looks back at the one watching her.
Komori Tarou awakens from his dream. He makes a record of it. He’s been having the same dream for quite some time. The dead girl was his older sister. As for the other girl, Tarou doesn’t know her but the place where she was is not far from his house.

Synopsis: Sawaki Tadayasu, a guy who can see microbes, goes into an agricultural university. What sights await him there?
I know this is late but oh well, as they say, better late than never. Was supposed to blog about Moyashimon earlier but wasn’t able to due to technical difficulties. I tried to blog from the raws but my translations were a complete hit-or-miss.
Anyway, two old men are talking. One of them, Sawaki, says that it’s their grandsons’ first day at a university in Tokyo. The other one, Yuuki, says there’s nothing to be happy about it. He says He wonders what things his grandson will see there. Yuuki says that Sawaki’s grandson used to mention seeing microbes. He asks if Sawaki believes in it. Sawaki replies that if he doesn’t believe his own grandson, who will? He says he saw the young Tadayasu playing with unseen things in the garage.

LOL. Couldn’t help but laugh at this scene where evil Kana was chasing poor little Chiaki for a hawt sister-to-sister kiss! I’ve seen this play out in real life. It is a lot of fun, for me at least because I DO the chasing! HAHAHAHAHA!

Synopsis: Itou Kaiji, a bum, gets in trouble after the friend whom he cosigned a credit for disappeared. Is there hope for him aboard the ship Espoir?

I never expected I would be blogging about Kaiji. First, I don’t like the graphics and second, I am not into gambling. usagijen suggested that I give the series I try. Well, I did and though it isn’t something that I would rave about, the plot is pretty decent. Kaiji is one fresh alternative if you’re sick and tired of the schoolgirls of this season. I also found out the manga won in the 1998 Kodansha Manga Award under the General category. Basilisk won the same award in 2004, Mushishi in 2006 and Ookiku Furikabutte this year.

Suteki Tantei Labyrinth Episode 1 - 旧都な名探偵 (Detective of the Old City)
![]()
Here goes my long overdue Suteki Tantei Labyrinth pimping, which I was supposed to have posted since last week. In any case, I think you’ll see me blogging more about this series as I was drawn by the mystery and shoujo elements, the intriguing plot and characters, and the pure pwnage of the anime over its manga counterpart. As some people might have thought before the series aired, this is not a show for pure shota fangirls and kiddies, I kid you not.

My Condolences, Ninomiya-kun. And condolences to myself? For making me laugh and enjoy the show despite its utter ridiculousness. It’s so bad, that it’s so good, as some might put it. I found it really weird and surprising, that a supposedly fanservice(for men)-hater like me will be able to tolerate this, more so, actually find it amusing o_O. I think I’ll put all that blame to Ninomiya, for managing to stand out against the pile of lame stereotypical harem leads out there. Heck I don’t think I would’ve been able to survive this show if not for this guy.
Further butchering and bashing beyond this point, and some redeeming as well.
