While I’m still not done done with my Honey & Clover rewatch (Gonna ‘restart’ it after I’m done with Midori no Hibi, since that’s the one with a deadline) and also not done deciphering this interview with Umino Chika in Manga Kitchen, I’m afraid you’re gonna have to bear with this little teaser:
usagijen: I just read this “Manga Kitchen” book/mook/whatever
usagijen: which features various manga series wherein “food” is a motif of some sort
usagijen: or that food, in some ways, had a significance in that series
usagijen: thought it’d be soo relevant to scrumptious!
usagijen: and it so happens that H&C is featured in that book, the very first one too.
usagijen: ever wondered why the opening of H&C is the way it is?

Finished up more tasks at work to finally wrap up our current project, and so I wasn’t able to take a ‘blogging break’ at work
Anyways, a few days has elapsed since I came back from my trip to Singapore, but the memories is still fresh in my mind. It was wonderful, having to meet some of the SG bloggers, on top of discovering “connections” or how small the world is (further reinforcing the ‘six degrees separation’ theory), though bringing home the 7kg worth of omiyages I bought for my family (to give to 6 families, as well as my officemates) was exasperating. Almost 3/5 of my pocket money was spent on those omiyages ;__;
Anyways, I shall give a lengthy narrative of what has transpired throughout my 4-day stay in Singapore. So beware, this is gonna be really tl;dr. I decided to chop this post into two because it turned really really long.

Sigh, I’m missing Japan, particularly the foodies. It’s been more than a year since my business trip, summer of 2007, and double’s recent post made me reminisce the time I spent in the wonderful place that is Fukuoka. I still wasn’t attached to the blog / blogging community / readers when my lucky trip happened, so I didn’t get to share about it in public. Only to Seleria and other close friends IRL ^^;
I already talked about the loot I bought during my trip, so I won’t talk about that cliché topic anymore. Instead, I’ll show you some of the foods I fell in love with during my 3-week business trip.

I was doing a random Shugo Chara Googling today when this Scrumptious-looking Shugo Tama chocolate caught my eye in Peach Pit’s blog. *___* It was given away as free presents for damn lucky bastards in Japan in connection with this Peach Pit or Kodansha celebration, or whatsoever event I don’t really care anymore because the said promo has ended. Not like we can grab hold of it anyways, so let’s just all stare at the pic and imagine what this Theobroma chocolate egg tastes like.
