Props to otou-san for writing this awesome H&C post. Eternal, too, though that’s one monster of a post I vowed not to read until I’ve actually rewatched H&C and truly appreciate it for what it’s worth.
The first time I watched Honey and Clover was August 2006, as I remember it, basking in 2-3 eps a day in my hotel room in Cebu after work during my first business trip, glued to the screen of my laptop whilst my roommates are busy playing DoTA; not exactly understanding what was going on through the lives of Takemoto, Morita, Mayama, Yamada, Hagu, Morita, Shuu, and Rika, but knowing enough to realize that there’s so much more to the show than how I was seeing it back then.

This is what happens when you get so many ideas for posts. You end up finishing nothing. Or at least, it takes you days and weeks to finish at least one of the posts, due to the lack of focus. On top of that, if you get sidetracked by a spur-of-the-moment excitement / fangirling, you end up finishing another post instead. *points to self, and this post .___.*
I happened to read the 2nd spinoff manga chapter of Honey and Clover just yesterday, and thought that it might be a good idea to share about this sweet little chapter. It’s been more than a year since the first spin-off story was released. That story focused mainly on the marriage of Yamada’s brother, and just featured this little scene Nomiya’s heroic deed of eating and even praising Yamada’s horrendous Akane-esque cooking. This time around, Umino Chika allowed us to see more of Yamada and Nomiya’s relationship :3

I was actually surprised that Umino Chika’s popular manga Honey and Clover, will have yet another adaptation, after the anime and the live-action movie. This time, it will be a live-action series on Fuji TV starting January 8, next year.
