LISTEN TO MY SPEECH
Not quite anime/manga related, but I thought I’d share this anyway. This is not the first Nihongo speech I delivered in the office, but since this is the most ‘ready for posting’, I decided to have this published first

For someone named “Mirai”, she sure doesn’t have much hope in the “future”, or more like, she doesn’t even know what that future is supposed to be. She’s discontented with her life at present, but she doesn’t really know what she wants. Confusing huh?

Before answering “Why I Blog”, I guess it would be but right to answer the question “Who am I (as an anime fan and as a person)?” first, in the hopes that the answer to the former question can be made clear as I answer the latter.

In a matter of days, I will be facing the toughest [language] challenge yet… the grueling JLPT1! It’s this coming December 7, and I’m soo running out of time to CRAMM!! I brushed up on my grammar and kanji (a little listening) for the past few months, though I’m not sure what percentage got retained in my poor brain (I’m crossing my fingers that my listening skills have improved since the last time x__X). I’ve become pretty confident about my grammar, but the writing/vocab section (where the ‘kanji exam’ is) is still making me cower in fear T__T And of course, the 70% pass mark.

2 episodes in, and Skip Beat still does not disappoint! Some people, like Fuyumaiden, found some of the anime comical scenes not so funny, and well, though I somewhat agree with this, I still find myself laughing at those scenes nonetheless. It seems that the subbers are catching up on this quick (or should I say, Chihiro fansubs caught up, and I sure hope ureshii-fansubs will too!), and quite a number of bloggers are covering it too, from traps, to tsunderes, among other fangirls, and new converts. Though, there seems to be a lack of testosterone power in the Skip Beat blogging scene (no, Impz is not counted). Glad to see more guys are getting into this show, Bateszi, ghostlightning, and Owen, in particular. With these guys joining in the Skip Beat bandwagon (and hopefully, many more to come?), I’m pretty positive that we’ll see an influx of editorial posts for Skip Beat sooner or later.
