Tokyo Tower is Not Overrated, You Are

I remember the time when the term ‘overrated’ first got to my nerves, and it was back when the Skip Beat anime was airing. I thought of how elitist the term is, as you show the world that something a LOT of people are enjoying doesn’t really deserve the attention it’s getting, or that your opinion deviates from a lot of people, I vs the mainstream fags. In short, saying “ is overrated” means you’re serving a wet blanket to those who pour out their love and attention to it.

Of course at times I find myself using this very term, and to be honest, it saddens me when I do that, because it seems like I’ve outgrown part of my childhood and can’t join in the fun of that certain something, like, say, Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh, and even, gawd, Vampire Knight. Growing up and being reasonable about your taste isn’t really something worth rejoicing, especially if you end up hating what you used to like, and that’s exactly how I feel about Vampire Knight now.

The Silly Things We Do in Tokyo Tower

Last last Friday was the memorable ‘Tokyo Tower Day’ for me and my officemates. We spent much of our free time after work in the Main observatory (we no longer went to the top floor because we had to pay extra bucks, and it won’t really be worth it unless we had more time in our hands), together with our lucky birthday-celebrant ex-officemate who’s staying in Japan for her post-graduate studies. She’s one lucky dawg because she gets a free pass and a free cake c/o Tokyo Tower, so yay! Anyways, so there we were, five young ladies, kids at heart, decided to go silly and do things people don’t normally do in there.
